We love our pets unconditionally and they return the love and then some. When these two meet at a crossroad, the love for your pet and the end of their life, Sweet Dreams In-Home Pet Euthanasia is there to ease you through the process by creating an intimate and tranquil experience. With offices located in Woodstock, GA, and downtown, Atlanta, this service allows your pet to avoid the stressful en

vironment of a veterinarian’s office in their last moments by providing in-home pet euthanasia. Serving metro-Atlanta and surrounding areas, their compassionate staff is dedicated to ensuring that your pet’s transition is handled with care and respect. Reaching this point with your pet is a difficult experience, and the professionals at this clinic understand that. To help you cope, they offer pet loss and grief information for you and your family members, as well as pet cremation services if you choose to explore that option. While they don’t have an on-site crematorium, your pet will be transported to a third-party and returned to you often within 7-10 days. They offer a number of memorial urns to choose from, including one-of-a-kind artistic urns. They also provide you with a clay paw print to memorialize your pet. Gauging the “right” time can be difficult, but a licensed veterinarian will help determine your pet’s quality of life and recommend possible next steps for you, your pet, and your family. Contact Sweet Dreams In-Home Pet Euthanasia today to give your pet the care they deserve and the healing you’ll need. Call (770) 880-1596 or visit them online for more information.

We Have Some Exciting and Encouraging News to Share With You!

The Cherokee County Commissioners Have Agreed to Hear Our Appeal!

In their January meeting, the board unanimously voted to hear our appeal. This is a significant step forward, and we are grateful for their willingness to consider our case.

https://calendly.com/dr-crowder-sweetdreamsgeorgia/sweet-dreams-memorials-gardens-appellate-hearing

The Appellate Hearing is Set for February 18th at 6:00pm. Once again, after the hearing, we’ll be hosting a BBQ celebration, just like we did after the last hearing. Despite the negative outcome of the previous hearing, it was still such a memorable time. We were able to meet, share hugs, hear your heartfelt stories about your pets, and learn how Sweet Dreams has impacted your lives. It was truly special, and we can't wait to gather again this time, hopefully celebrating a victory. Regardless of the outcome, we’re excited to unwind, enjoy great food, and spend time with amazing people.
Please click the button below to sign up to come to the meeting. You will get an email confirming and click “add to calendar” to add this to your calendar. We need as many supporters as possible to attend this important hearing. Your presence will show just how much this garden means to our community.

Attend in GREEN 🪴 To show unity, we ask that all our supporters attend the hearing in green. We will provide stickers to wear, which will help us stand together in solidarity. Your support is crucial, and we want to make a strong visual impact. At the last hearing, the board asked all supporting the garden to stand up and it was amazing, all but ~2 stood up. It brings me chills and a tear to my eye thinking about it!

Personal Letters of Support Needed:
Once again, If you are able to, please consider writing a personal letter of support. Many of you have already signed our general letter, and we are incredibly grateful for that! However, a personal letter will be placed in a separate pile and is more likely to have an impact, especially if you reside in Cherokee County.

For Cherokee County Residents, the Commissioners want to hear from you! If you are so willing to email your commissioner, that would be influential. If you do send an email to your commissioner, we would be grateful to receive a copy so that we can add it to our case file for further support.

The Commissioners have been very kind and open to hearing our concerns, and we ask that you continue to show that same level of respect and kindness as we move forward. We are not happy with the outcome of the variance board, but we are hopeful for a different panel and a positive result this time around.

A Special Note

Since our last hearing, we have had productive discussions with Harry Johnston, the Chair of the Cherokee County Commission, and Corey Ragsdale, our District Commissioner. They have been incredibly supportive of our project and have shown a strong commitment to finding a solution that allows us to move forward with our Memorial Gardens. Their assistance has been invaluable, and we are optimistic that, with their continued support, we can reach a favorable outcome.

Thank you once again for your patience, your passion, and your unwavering support. We couldn’t do this without you, and we look forward to seeing you at the hearing!

With Utmost Gratitude,
Dr. Amy Crowder

Please take special care of your pets in these extreme temperatures. ❄️

Exposure to winter’s dry, cold air and chilly rain, sleet and snow can cause chapped paws and itchy, flaking skin, but these aren’t the only discomforts pets can suffer. To help prevent cold weather dangers from affecting your pet’s health, please heed this advice from our experts.

As the year draws to a close, we know that you are especially missing your beloved companions that you had to say goodbye to this year. We hope this message brings you comfort and peace and wish all of our Sweet Dreams families joy in the New Year.

My Dear Human,
I see that you are crying, for it is my moment to leave. Don't cry, please. I want to explain some things to you.
You're sad because I left, but I'm glad I met you.
How many dogs and cats and birds like me die daily without meeting someone special like you?
I know it saddens you my departure, but I had to go now.
I want to ask you not to blame yourself for anything. I heard you sobbing that you should have done something else for me. Don't say that, you've done a lot for me! Without you I would have known nothing of the beauty I carry with me today.
You must know that we animals live the present intensely and we are very wise: we enjoy every little thing every day, and forget the bad past quickly.
Our lives begin when we know love, the same love you gave me, my angel without wings and two legs.
Know that even if you find an animal that is seriously injured, and that you only have a little bit of time in this world, you provide a huge service by accompanying you in your final transition.
None of us likes to be alone, except when we realize it's time to leave.
Maybe for you it's not so important that one of you is next to us caressing us and holding our paw, helps us go in peace.
No more crying, please. I'll be happy. I have in memory the name you gave me, the warmth of your house that in this time became mine. I take the sound of your voice talking to me, even though I don't always understand what you were saying to me.
I carry in my heart every caress you gave me.
Everything you did was very valuable to me and I thank you endlessly, I don't know how to tell you, because I don't speak your language, but surely in my eyes you could see my gratitude.
I'm just gonna ask for two favors. Wash your face and start smiling.
Remember how good we live together these moments, remember the antics I made to cheer you up.
Relive like me all the good we share in this time.
And do not say you will not adopt another animal, because you have suffered a lot from my departure. Without you I would not live the beauties I lived.
Please don't do this! There are many like me waiting for someone like you.
Give them what you gave me, please, they need it just like I needed you.
Don't keep the love you have to give, for fear of suffering.
Follow my advice, cherish the good you share with each of us, recognizing that you are an angel to us animals, and that without people like you our life would be harder than sometimes it is.
Follow your noble task, now it's up to me to be your angel.
I will accompany you in your path and help you help others like me.
I will talk to other animals who are here with me, I will tell you everything you have done for me and I will point and say proudly: “that's my family.”
Tonight, when you look at the sky and see a blinking star I want you to know that it's me flashing an eye; warning you that I arrived well and telling you "thank you for the love you gave me".
I say goodbye now not saying "goodbye", but "see you later.”
There is a special sky for people like you, the sky where we go and life rewards us by making us meet there.
I'll be waiting for you!"

I have never been more proud.

Of our Staff. Of our Clients. Of our Business. Of our Integrity.
I could go on and on.

In 17 years of Sweet Dreams, I have never been more proud than I was last night as I watched our staff and supporters come into the boardroom proudly displaying their Sweet Dreams Memorial Gardens sticker.

Tonight, we put our Core Values on display for all to see. Thank you for being there, and thank you all for your dedication to Sweet Dreams. I just wanted to make sure all of you know. I felt your love and support and despite the negative outcome, it was impossible to be sad knowing I have all of your support.

For those that were not present, we did not win our appeal to begin development of the Memorial Gardens. This is just the beginning. We would like you to continue to fight with us as we urge Cherokee County to allow us to build this Memorial Garden. We need to spread the word and get Cherokee County residents fired up. Can you help us?

With all the Love and Respect,

Dr. Crowder

Hi Everyone- My name is Dr. Amy Crowder and I am the founder of Sweet Dreams. I wanted to pop on and answer some of your questions.
The issue is not one of zoning or rezoning. What we are doing is applying for a variance so that we can use our land. Our property has the most setbacks/buffers one can have. There are currently 50’ buffers on all sides of our property which does not leave us any room to develop our garden or even clean up the debris that is currently in the buffer area.
We are asking for the 50’ buffer to be changed to a 10’ buffer with permanent, living undisturbed plantings- huge arborvitae that will give a year-round visual and sound screen. We have talked with and met our neighbor multiple times to understand her concerns. Her main concerns are site-line changes and people close to her property line. We have offered to add in the 10’ privacy fencing, plant 15’ trees on a berm and leave all tall trees in place. We also added a service pathway along the property line to keep visitors away by approximately 20’ or more.
The current property right now is overgrown, filled with debris, a caved-in pool and frankly is an eyesore. Year round, even with full leaf cover, one can see our buildings through the woods from the neighboring properties. Our plan fixes this. The screening will create a year-round visual cover and dampen the traffic noise from Highway 92.
The variance is basically to allow us to clean up our land, install plants and a garden. We want to give back to our amazing community and clients. The Gardens will be monitored by Sweet Dreams staff when open, and gated and closed after hours.
Any questions you may have please reach out to us- we are always available, and we are so very passionate about the work we do here. I am not just a Cherokee County small business owner, I am also a long time Cherokee County resident and dedicated to serving our wonderful community.
Gratefully Yours,
Dr. Amy Crowder

Thank you all for your service 🇺🇸

This , we salute not only the courageous men and women who have served our country but also the brave animals who have served alongside them. From military working dogs to service animals, these loyal companions have played vital roles in protecting and supporting our troops.

Today, we also want to recognize the incredible bond between veterans and their pets. For many, animals provide emotional support, companionship, and healing. Whether it’s a service dog or a rescue pet, these animals give back as much as they receive.

If you're a veteran or know one, we invite you to consider adopting a shelter pet. All adoption fees are waived to veterans when they adopt a pet 6 months of age and older. We’re here to help match you with the perfect companion who will support you just as you’ve supported our country!
