We are very happy that Rex is back home after 1 day! Finder's comment: "Since he didn't have a collar, I took him to PetSmart to see if he had a microchip. Turns out he did and I was able to contact the company who then contacted the owner and gave them my number. After that, the owner met me at my house and took him back home."
