Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, Inc. We are a non profit, no kill cat shelter in Woonsocket, RI. Once cats are fully vetted we find them their perfect forever homes.

We provide a temporary home for cats in transition and provide full vetting for the cats in our care. The Sanctuary is open normal business hours, but appointments are required to visit our cats ready for adoption. Call us at (401)765-4174 if you would like to make an appointment. >^..^

Good morning! We got a very special update we wanted to share with you. A couple years ago one of our dear friends and volunteers passed away after a long battle with kidney disease. She left behind 2 cats that we knew would do not do well at the sanctuary. Thankfully we were able to find them a home without them having to come to the shelter. This is an update from her sister as she keeps in touch with the very nice gentlemen who took these cats and has given them a great home! >^..^<

Please join us in wishing our full time resident Pandora a very happy 16th birthday 🎉. She has been with us since 2018 and has chronic bladder issues so she lives with us at the sanctuary so that we can monitor her. Pandora holds a special place in all of our hearts at the sanctuary as she is such a joy to have around. First thing every morning she joins us at the feeding station where she eats any leftover food. From there she goes to the sink so we can turn the water on for her. She likes it straight from the spigot and she pretty much get whatever she wants. Earlier this year we had a scare with her and thought it might be her time, but some fluids, antibiotics and lots of tlc and soon Pandora was back to herself. We hope to have many more birthdays with her! Happy Birthday Pandora!!! 🥰 >^..^

“Diesel, adopted in July 2019, looking forward to Christmas, he loves catnip, bird and squirrel watching, snuggling with his Dad, and nice long naps. Even has a friend in the kitty next store, who visits us often. He’s much loved!”

Good morning! We had a couple adoptions yesterday just in time for the holidays. Holly was eager and ready for her adoption picture but siblings Jingle and Bells are a little shy so we had to add their picture in. If anyone goes to the Honey Shop here in Woonsocket you probably recognize Kathy and her husband Paul. They are the new parents to Jingle and Bells and we know they will have a great home. Congratulations to the new families and many happy meows to all! >^..^
