It all starts here, with zero additives pure hard wood sawdust compressed with heat into convenient pellets, and soybean shells also compressed into pellets. We inoculate with a sparse amount of mycelium colonized oat grain, and water. Nothing else. ❤️ 🍄

I always find it fascinating to see the different patterns that mycelium grows into. As well as the colors that pull through in the mycelial stage, and the ones that don't. For instance golden oyster mushroom has white mycelium but ends up being a bright yellow mushroom. Cordyceps mushroom is yellow on mycelium and ends up being an orange mushroom. Pink oyster mushroom is Pink in both cases. And I think metarhizium looks exactly the same as it's not a mushroom but a fungus. (It's my next experiment, beekeepers, keep an eye out for this one.)
