It's not everyday you get to take a goat to the airport to catch a flight but that's what we did this morning! It's been quite the process getting this guy to his own farm, but as of 30 minutes ago he caught a flight headed to California. Excited to see and hear about his life on a farm out there, where not only do they have show goats but show horses too. It's been fun having you Handsome, but glad you finally get to go to your farm!

This buckling has given us quite the learning curve! He was considered to be moving on but here he is waiting and ready for someone to give him his own farm to sire.

We've been busy with our animals the last few weeks which means not much time for posting! But wanted to get on here and update about our animals.
We have another litter of bunnies! Beatrice our Chinchilla colored doe had 5 babies and all are doing great! Sadly, CeCe our lilac color mini lop was too terrified during the really bad storm that came through this past week, which I believe made her deliver her babies too early to survive.
Amari our Nirgerian Dwarf has been busy weaning off her babies. Two out of 3 have gone on to their own farms. Hopefully our last little guy finds his own farm soon. And finally, our turkeys our loving the little temporary "play pen" I built for them to graze during the day.
The kids have been helping and working hard at taking care of everything with me!

We have eyes starting to open! Twelve days old today!

These bunnies are getting so big. Sadly, we are down to just 4 survivors. Earlier this week 2 got out of the nest and wandered out into the open area of the cage during the night and got to cold to survive. We were so sad!
I made some adjustments to the cage to provide more safety of keeping them warm in case they wander out of the nest. It seems to be working. Eleven days old today and these four are looking healthy and oh so adorable!!
This blue color is such a big bunny!!

We have six bunnies! Today they are 7 days old and all looking good! I had to supplement feed a few to help start them off, now there is just 1 that still needs a supplemental feeding.
I know for certain we have 2 black, 2 blue then 2 lighter colors that I'm not sure on yet.
These are Maya's babies and she is being such a great mom! She made a really nice nest full of fur, so much so that I had to take a whole grocery bag out and save to use as needed because with the heat, it's was getting too hot in the nest and the babies were crawling out.
So thankful these babies are doing so well even with this crazy heat.

Here is our little guy "Jax" (just his current nickname) looking for a backyard to play in. Three weeks old today. He is so sweet and lovable. Currently a buckling but planning to wether him if no interest as a buck. He would make a great pet! He loves to be held and run around with the kids.
Also we have our 2 year old Winston ready for a new home.
Could go together!!
