Waggerz' Lounge offers Dog daycare, grooming, retail, and training services. Located at 17 E. Mountain St. Waggerz' Lounge is in the shopping plaza next door to Verizon Wireless and Bushel & Peck. We sell Taste of the Wild, Diamond, NutriSource, Bully Sticks, Kongs, bones, toys, training supplies, and offer grooming, daycare, and boarding. Temperament tests for are required for daycare or boarding and are done on a walk-in basis Mon. - Thurs. with drop off from 6:30am to 8am. The dog will need to stay for a minimum of 6 hours. Prior to coming in for a temperament test please fill out the Intake form on our website. The day of the test bring your dog in with a leash, collar and proof of vaccinations for DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. The day your dog is here for the temperament test they will be in daycare for a day so the cost is the same as a usual day of daycare: $29.00. Please understand there is no refund for dogs who fail the temperament test. F.A.Q.s 1. Q:I am interested in having my dog attend daycare or boarding. What do I need to do? A: 3 steps - Step 1: Go to www.waggerzlounge.com, click on the “INTAKE” link and fill out the intake form and click the “SUBMIT” button at the bottom of the form. Step 2: Make sure your dog is current on bordetella (kennel cough), DHLPP, and Rabies and obtain a copy to bring with you to the temperament test. Step 3: Bring your dog for a temperament between 6:30am & 8:00am Mon- Thurs. and don’t forget your shot records. If your dog passes the temperament test you can do daycare or boarding anytime. 2. Q: Do I have to make a reservation for the temperament test, daycare, or boarding? A: The temperament test and daycare are done on a walk-in basis. You do not need to call ahead. We will always board for dogs that have passed a temperament test regardless of the amount of notice we receive (you can board with no notice) however this is subject to availability and we tend to fill up around certain holidays (Memorial day, July 4th, and Christmas). 3. Q: How much is boarding and how are the charges calculated? A: Boarding is $37.50 per dog per night for open boarding. Suites are $30 - $42 depending on size and additional dogs in the same suite are 25% off. This charge is for one dog to stay from 12 noon on the drop off day until 12 noon the next day (24 hours). The charges are always from noon to noon. Check in is anytime after noon to closing on the drop off day. Check out is anytime from opening to 12 noon on the day of check out. 4. Q: What if I need to drop off before noon or pickup after noon? A: Early drop off and late pick up are available for an additional fee each to cover the extra time your dog is with us. Early drop off and late pickup must still occur during business hours. 5. Q: What if I need to drop my dog off before you open or pick up after you close? A: Drop off and Pick up may only occur during business hours. This is why a business has hours of operation. If a dog needs to be dropped off before we open the solution is to drop off the evening before we close. If a dog needs to be picked up after closing time plan on picking up the next morning when we open. We are available limited hours on Sunday for pick up and drop off of boarders only. Customers arriving on Sundays during limited hours should call when they arrive. We are not open for any other services. 6. Q: What are your hours? A: 6:30am – 6:30pm Mon. – Fri. 9:00am – 4pm Sat. Closed – Sunday except for boarding pick up and drop off from 9:00am – 4:00pm. Call 508-210-2704 when you arrive at the facility to be let in on Sundays. 7. Q: Can I tour the facility? A: Tours are only given on Saturdays and start promptly at 11am and 2pm. We do not give tours during the week because strange people in the daycare area create a disruption jeopardizing staff and dog safety and there are a lot more dogs in our pack during the week. 8. Q: My dog cannot have one of the vaccines you require, can my dog still attend any of your services? A: The answer to this varies from case to case depending on the circumstances and the shot in question. For example, we require the Leptospirosis vaccine. If your vet feels this shot is contraindicated for your dog then we will accept a letter from your vet stating this. We would not accept a dog if the only reason for not getting the shot was owner preference or a written agreement with a breeder. We also always require the Bordetella vaccine without any exceptions. 9: Q: My dog doesn’t do well with other dogs when I take them out. Will they fail the temperament test? A: We have temperament tested over 2,000 dogs and very few have been rejected. A majority of times we reject dogs that exhibit aggressive and/ or destructive behavior. Keep in mind that how a dog acts for their owners on leash is different than how they will act in a pack off leash. We do discourage anyone from bringing a dog that they know is aggressive or has been advised by a qualified trainer to avoid other dogs. 10: Q: I only wish to use your grooming services why do you require that my dog has the Kennel Cough vaccine? A: Kennel Cough (Bordetella) is an airborne illness. The risk for kennel cough is always higher wherever dogs are present and the more dogs the higher the risk. Since our facility has a large number of dogs on a daily basis we require the vaccine to protect all dogs entering our facility. This decision was made after consulting multiple veterinarians in the area who all agreed that all grooming salons should require the vaccination. 11. Q: Do you require all dogs be neutered or spayed by 6 months? A: Yes. No unaltered dogs may attend services after reaching 6 months old.
