I would love to tell you all more about my experience with Dogs and Dog Behavior. I volunteered at a top Balanced Training Business in SLC at a very young age, I worked closely with so many different breeds of dogs during this time as I worked in the Daycare with 40 to 50 dogs every day. I experienced how to be a leader even with so many dogs in one space. I also learned about dog fights and how to stop or prevent them properly. I studied K9 behavior continuously by working at dog Daycares around the SLC valley. I spent many years studying dog body language through these experiences.
The last training business I worked for was a positive reinforcement-only business and it sparked my love for the positive reinforcement-based training method. I adhere to the adjective L.I.M.A in my training style (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive). This means I tailor my training style to every dog, Each situation is different, and if I can go the positive way I will. However, I specialize in reactive and aggressive dogs, and sometimes aversives are a necessity.
I have experience with basic obedience training, agility, and service dog training. I also have experience with Deaf, Blind, and Senior Dogs. I have also worked in a Veterinary clinic so I have experience with administering medication as well as how to support and care for dogs after surgery.
I work well with shy or anxious dogs. As I stated above I specialize in Reactive, Dog Aggressive, and Human aggressive Dogs. I own a Human aggressive dog and after years of work, I have helped him be a safe dog with accommodations. I am very passionate about dogs with these types of issues and have years of experience working with these issues. Including food aggression and Resource Guarding.
I use slip leads, traditional leads, and balance harnesses on my one dog. I am willing and knowledgeable enough about other training tools any clients might have. I use treat motivation when needed and am great with positively reinforcing good behavior in dogs. I live by the motto "A tired dog is a happy dog" and ensure any dogs in my care get an hour or longer walks daily if not more. I also have a huge toy basket and plenty of treat puzzles and games to keep all my pups and more occupied.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about my training style or my experience. I am proud of the years I have dedicated all for the love of Dogs
