Well to the party that got me flagged as a scam, which made it all but impossible to let people know I had puppies. You won, yep you won the battle.
But I doubt you planned on all the puppies finding homes. Sure I gave more away than I sold, so financially it wasn't good. But what I gained you can not buy. I met a lot of very nice people, made new freinds. Seen what joy a puppy can bring in to a family. Puppies ended up in 4 states. 1 will be traveling in an RV around the country for companionship and protection. They went out as service dogs, family pets, kids playmates, and other capacities. To see a puppy melt into the chest of the person holding it is not even measurable.
Like I said I lost the battle but I didnt loose the war. I'm hurt but I will heal. I feel sorry for the people who won't get one of these little puppies in the future. They are the ones that loss.

I have a story for you. PLEASE read to the end, I think it will be worth your time.
A couple came today to get something I had to offer, a p****. They drove on the yard and the lady made a comment about my flowers. As we were looking at them the gentleman walked right down to look at what I had available. He was watching them and picked one up to hold. By that time his wife and I had made our way down there. I picked up another one and handed it to him. He held him and it kinda melted right on to his chest. After hardly no more than a couple minutes He said this is the one and the looking was done and we were walking back to the car. This little furry boy is supposed to be trained for a service function for the gentleman. I held it together while they were here, but after they left and I started to mow again I couldn't help but start to cry a little. To think this little guy could be of great service to someone made me feel good inside.

But now as Paul Harvey (for those of you who remember him) would say, "And now for the rest of the story" .
As some of you know finding a way to find homes for what I have has been a challenge to say the least. I had a total stranger offer to help me out and post for me. I said that I would really appreciate it if she did. Her response back was " That's what Jesus would do". That kinda surprised me that she said that but it made me feel good. As a result of her actions this gentleman I mentioned earlier found me. It was because of her kind action that something really good has taken place.

When a freind does something for you it feels good, but when a stranger does something for you it feels great! What amazing greatness could happen if we all practiced this. I ask that you all say a prayer that everything goes great for the gentleman and his new service companion and the lady and her family are blessed because of this kind gesture.

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying...you found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear.
"It's me, I haven't left you...I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea.
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you that I am not lying there.
I walked with you toward the house, as you fumbled for your key,
I gently put my paw on you. I smiled and said, "It's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know that I was standing there.
It's possible for me to be so near you every day.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over...I smile and watch you yawning

Today something happened that took me by surprise. A lady, total stranger, sent me a text saying she came across the poem I wrote
"What's in a Name" . They had just lost their German Shepherd and when she read it tears came to her eyes. She said she shared the poem on her site. It touched her. Right now I'm going through a tough time and the message she sent me brought tears to my eyes. A few more text were shared with each other. It's like the Alabama song "Angles Amoung Us" a kind word from a stranger. I guess you never know what might be said that could help another person get through a tough day. Something we all need to remember.

Dakota's puppies are now 4 weeks old. Growing good. Here are some pictures as they are today, again not the best doing it by myself. I think the brown will increase on some of them because it increased on Dakota since she was a puppy.

Montana's puppies will be 5 weeks old tomorrow. Took some pictures today, not the best when you do it by yourself but it gives you a little idea of the markings. I think the brown will increase on some of them. Next time I'll get help with the photography.

Did you know.
So I thought Montana and Dakota are both doing good as a Mommy. This is Montana's first litter and there are 9. Tommorow they will be 5 weeks old. This last week I thought they were looking a little thinner than Dakota's. So I started to give them a little milk replacer by syringe the last 3 days. Today made a longer trough to feed them a gruel mix. Before I had it ready I caught Montana go in by the puppies and regurgitate. The puppies were eating it like crazy. I wanted to vomit. I wasn't aware the mother dog would do that but they do when they are going to start to.wean them or not enough milk. Guess she is a better Mommy than I thought. So tonight they got my mixture of puppy food and milk replacer .
WARMED my heart to here one puppy tell the others Dads food is better than Mom's ( except when she nurses us that's the best)

So I started to give Montana's puppies a little milk replacer to supplement Mom. New mom and big litter I think they need a little extra. It didn't take much for them to catch on. If I didn't have things I needed to do I could probably sit in here all day.

Sat in by Montana's puppies for a little while tonight trying to take a few pictures. Hard to do by yourself and them wanting to climb up to my chin doesn't help any. The one video has me whistling which really got them going .

Busy afternoon. puppies got their nails trimmed a little and collars added to start to identify them. Their coat will still continue to change in the next weeks. Some of the puppies that have brown on them may have that area increase in size. Hair length will change and texture. As they get a little bigger I will take individual pictures.

So this area could get real exciting in the next couple weeks with nothing but a sheet of plywood separating 2 litters of 9 each. One of Montana's little ones already sits up and barks when you go in there (protector of the bunch) .
I'm hoping it is going to work later to just let the whole bunch out together for a little while to play, that should be crazy .

Montana's little puppies. There too a couple with some brown on there legs. Some have a little more wavy hair will have to see how it develops. Montana has a little wavy hair on her back. Her mother was short black hair ,her dad was longer haired .
