Cats yoga and nature 🎉 we can't wait!

🤗 The time of year has come again for our DAY RETREAT in Wrightwood!
🌲 Join us in the sweet town of Wrightwood and receive Wellness amongst multiple healing + nurturing modalities.

🐱 Begin the day with CAT YOGA at The Purrground…
🥾…followed by a local + educational & lovely NATURE HIKE (0.75 miles) .
😋 LUNCH will be at Mexico Lindo 🇲🇽.
🌀 TOWN EXPLORATIONS will follow…
🧘🏻‍♀️…and we will seal up our day at the town’s Yoga Studio - Love Roots Yoga Shala with YOGA NIDRA, MANTRA + SWEET SOUNDS.

🤍 Snacks will be provided - but do bring funds for lunch and any mountain treasures you may want to purchase.

Blossom is officially back 😔 but she loves us 🥰 We took her to the vet on Thursday. Her right eye isn't producing tears she will need to be on eye drops for the rest of her life. Her and Will be hanging out this weekend looking for a home 🏠🐾 Come say hi

We know it's cliche to say but... Children are the future 🌍✌️🩷 It's always a pleasure when they visit the shop. We love talking to kids about what we do and why we do it! Our friends brought some amazing rescued faces to share 🐍🦎🐢🦔 Thank you, Wrightwood elementary School for always supporting us and visiting 😘

Remember We rescued her from the shelter 4 and 1/2 years ago. Blossom was one of the worst cases of neglect we'd seen 😞 her ears were destroyed. She went through an extremely painful procedure removing everything out of both ears. It was a long recovery. Once she was healed she went home. Unfortunately 4 years later she was returned to us at no fault of her own. It was a housing situation 💔 blossom was really sad last night. She cried a lot. We understand. It's so confusing to lose her family after 4 years. We sure hope we can find her a new home sooner than later. We're going to get her back to the original vet to find out what we can do for her right eye to give some relief and have a general checkup.

Zoe 🩷🌸
Zoe is a ~3 year old, female, english bulldog.
Zoe came to us after being used for breeding and discarded by her previous family. Despite this Zoe is full of love! Zoe is very energetic, she loves to splash and play in water (pool, water bowl, whatever), loves to climb on furniture so she can see from your POV 😋, loves to snuggle, and loves walks! She is great with people, but would do best as the only animal in the house. Zoe needs a family that understands the stubborn, and hilarious personality of a bulldog….. and also have patience in giving her the training and structure she has never had before. Zoe is currently in a foster home, and will be available for adoption soon 👼🏼🤍 From Zoe’s foster mom - “Being around Zoe makes us laugh, and fills our heart with joy! Although she hasn’t had much in her life, she has a great willingness to learn. She is so smart!!! Anyone would be lucky to spoil Zoe furever!”

Maggie had her surgery yesterday 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 all because of you guys!!!!!! She is doing fantastic. We're going to get her out of that big plastic cone and into a softer one today. Will keep you guys posted. Just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone that helps us when we need it 🐾🥰 Without you we are nothing 🥹😘 ps... Iris is doing great. Her nasty tooth that caused so much pain is out. She's on antibiotics. We'll post about her next 😸

Feral moms journey 🥹 This mom and her 7 babies has been living in the walls and under a woman's house. It was not easy to trap them and it's not going to be easy to rehabilitate them 🖤 When cats and kittens go so long without socialization, it takes a lot of patience. We got them vaccinated dewormed and a few are on antibiotics. We ordered some back scratchers that should be delivered today so we can pet them safely 😁 kitten season is going to be rough like it always is 💔 We are a small family run rescue and can only do so much. My apologies if we don't get to your messages. We do our best and are only capable of handling so much at a time And remember we can always use everything on our wish list 🙏thanks guys

🥹😻 We just love Walter and Iris. They are the oldest cats we have in our care. Iris is having her teeth done next week and will be looking for a home immediately. She is so loving a very wonderful cat. Walter is the oldest guy. He has a face that we can't resist. He's really deserving of a home as well 🏠🐾

photo dump 🥹 available for adoption. Charlie is approximately 10 years old. We've had all his vetting done. He's had a complete dental. All blood work and urine shows perfect results. He's a healthy little guy. Still such a puppy in a sense it's the cutest. We call him Benjamin button because he seems to get younger everyday. Although we know his original mom loved him. Him and his brother were not cared for properly. I know he feels like a million bucks now

🆘🆘 Hey guys we could use some help ASAP🆘🆘 We need to get Maggie and Iris the medical care they need 🩺🏥👩‍⚕️💉 Iris, our newest intake and she is uncomfortable. Her back teeth are rotted and loose her tongue hangs out and eating is not the easiest 😞 The family pet clinic will offer a $500 flat rate 😸🙏 Maggie has been looking for a home for a while. We believe some of her medical needs are a deterrent for some families. The growth on her eye needs to come out PERIOD! 👁️ It is growing and will only get more uncomfortable... while she is under we might as well remove the growth on her arm and she needs a full dental 🪥🦷 MAGGIE DESERVES THIS!!! Used and abused for breeding. It's her time to feel her best 👑 Our goal is 1500$ anything extra will go directly into TNR. Will start next to our building there are five cats hanging out because a female is in heat screaming all night 😵‍💫 We have to trap them ASAP before it gets out of control. Charlie was ready for spring 🌷 he can't believe this 😆 Our sweet Charlie is still waiting for a home 🏡🐾 Charlie had his dental done last week. Two teeth were pulled. His blood work and urine results were great 🥳 This little guy is so deserving of a home!

Walter is so fast 🥲 this guy is SO SO SO SO GRATEFUL to be inside, warm, fed and loved. Walter has even been helping us tame a feral kitten 😸 to see this older cat play ball is everything. He never got a chance to relax like this and man as he deserving. He's so cute and sweet 😻

Oreo 🖤🤍🐾 this little girl was born from a feral mom here in Wrightwood. Her siblings were feral ...trapping and helping was not the easiest. Mom is a very smart cat . Oreo however always loved people never ran away and was quite nosy seemed to appreciate our kindness 😺Oreo knew we were trying to help from day one... her mom and littermates made things a challenge while Oreo would come over head bump us meow and purr 😻 We couldn't be happier. She finally has a family 🥲 this family is no stranger to us they have adopted from us before are members of our community and wonderful people It's like the cherry on the cake 😸🍒🎂

Ugh 😿 Today we had to make a very difficult decision 🌈🐾 We knew it was just a matter of time but it still sucks 😞 He is so lucky to have had a great foster family that made him feel loved 🩵 Last night he buried himself in the fluff from the couch cushion that exploded 😹 his time with us was short but he made an impact on many of our volunteers and his foster family. We hope his story will encourage others to open up their home to seniors in need. Ok can't type anymore 😭😭😭 Thanks again to everybody that sent him his favorite goodies. We appreciate all of you 🙏

READY FOR A HOME 🏡🐾 Our had his dental done yesterday 😁🪥🦷 He had two extractions. Charlie's blood work was perfect. His urine came back good. Now it's time to really focus on finding him a home 🏡🐾 6 months ago his world was turned upside down. He lost everything he ever knew and loved 😞 since then we've made sure to show him all the positives the world has to offer. Charlie would make an excellent companion for someone. Charlie is still playful loves car rides likes to go for walks but most of all he really loves to sit with his person and get love 🥰 I call him baby Charlie because he just looks younger every single day since we've rescued him. Charlie does fine with cats and as long as a dog is friendly and no threat, he would be fine

Grandpaw update 😁🧡 fostering is not just cuddle's and kisses it comes with some dirty stuff sometimes. We were so lucky a wonderful family here in Wrightwood decided they could be hospice fosters for him. Grandpaw was so happy to leave 🏡🐾 poor dude ended up with a spider bite full-on infection. His foster mom had to give antibiotics and Epsom salt soak for his paw. It finally exploded all over her 😆🤢🤮 He is all back to normal. Healed up and doing great. He sure does appreciate having a family again. This is exactly what he deserves for his last chapter. He is on special kidney food now thanks to a kind resident. He has to have at least two packs of his soup a day and he still loves his churro sticks 😸 Thanks again to everyone that helped us get him to this point. We'll keep you updated

Awwww... Bittersweet our Flaming Hot Cheeto went home 🔥 🏠🐾 this little guy was rescued as a young baby by a wonderful nurse who could not leave him on the street 🩺🥰 He was a bit untrusting of people at first but he came around quick and showed his ginormous personality. We are so happy for him. He has little dogs to beat up and kids to play with 😸😁 lol

Everyone meet Josie. She was found in the desert 🌵 All efforts to locate anyone that cared about her were exhausted. Unfortunately dogs are found every day in our surrounding areas. A lot of times we feel they are dumped. It's devastating 💔 Josie has all her vetting done now and she has been hanging out in a foster home so that we can learn all about her. She's going to make a great dog for a family 🐾🏡 She will be at the shop during our open hours for visitors.

Literally when Grandpa walked out the door to a foster home.... Walter basically walked in 😸🧡 while our fellow rescuer was doing TNR this guy jumped in her car 🚗🐾 like seriously jumped in her car and begged for help 🥲 The people that feed the feral cats said he is picked on constantly which explains hardly no teeth and battle scars 😞 He went straight to the vet for blood work and we have been getting him cleaned up 💊🩺 Walter is the BEST he is SO GRATEFUL to be off the street and so thankful to have free run of the shop after being in quarantine a few weeks. Walter is feeling like a million bucks 🥳🧡😸 He was infested with worms and very skinny. He needs a lot of wet food since he doesn't have much teeth. Walter is now looking for a home 🏡 definitely senior 10+ but he has so much life in him and his blood work results were great.

We can finally share a little secret we've been keeping 🥰 our is home 🏡 his family came all the way from Montana ⛰️🌲 They are no strangers to us ☺️ 3 years ago they adopted Sadly he passed unexpectedly in his sleep 🌈 💔 Of course his family was devastated a little time passed and we rescued Blitz now Frankie. They talked about adopting him because they knew they could deal with any challenges that he may face with his prolapse. They never had a chance because a nurse at the hospital where his surgery was performed adopted him. Bennys family thought it wasn't meant to be......... UNTIL!!! he was returned 🖤🌌 I think the universe knew exactly where Frankie belonged. I think there sweet boy Benny might even had something to do with it 🥹 We couldn't be any happier. He has a sister they share the same coloring. So cute!! Happy Tails 🥳

Sorry we are so behind on social media. Let's start with the results from 🚨 Grandpaws vet visit 🚨Good news and bad news. Let's start with the good news. He is not ready to leave us just yet 🧡🥹 Updated testing will be done every 3/6 months and we will make decisions based on his quality of life and test results. He has a large heart murmur and on scale of 1 to 4 kidney disease he is a 3. He was negative for FIV/FeLV. Doctor ages him 13+ He was treated for worms and antibiotic for his nose and eyes .He definitely feels his age with arthritis. But overall He's okay and NEEDS A HOME 🏡🐾 He needs to feel really special during his last chapter. Grandpaw needs sunshine☀️He needs love daily ♥️ We will back him until the end. We are not asking anybody to take this on alone. If you feel you maybe the right family for him please let us know AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP WITH HIS CARE! He is still gobbling up tons of the senior wet food sticks that our in our Amazon wishlist if you would like to send him some 🙏
