Introducing our new girl Brandy! She is about 1 1/2 and was a breeder dog in an animal testing laboratory. She did not handle having a litter well so she was retired. We adopted her in Brooklyn two weeks ago. She’s a tiny girl weighing 15 pounds. She is learning to walk on the grass and working on house training. She was the first beagle I looked at that I didn’t cry thinking about her sitting in Shyla’s spot on the couch. Everyone is getting along well. I think Shyla would approve.

It saddens me to announce that after nearly 18 years in Wurtsboro, Sudsy Paws will be closing permanently on June 12. Unfortunately, 25 years of repetitive, strenuous motions has caused damage to my hand and arm joints. I was advised to stop grooming or risk limited usage of my hands as I age. We were planning on making a gradual transition but an opportunity presented itself where Michael and I could continue working together in the pet industry that we love. We will be open very limited hours until then and will not be able to take new clients. Things may change as I am still hoping/trying to find someone to take over the business. Thank you so much for your support throughout the years! We appreciate you and your kindness and generosity. You and your pets are like family to us and we will miss you all!
