"We’re always looking for ways to maximize the care we offer to pets and pet parents while ensuring that our team has a good work-life balance.

*****We’re excited to announce a slight change to our daily schedule:

Beginning July 22nd, we will be closed from 12:15pm to 1:15pm daily for a lunch hour****

We think this change will benefit everyone! Here’s why:

🐾 Rather than staying open but having a two-hour period in which we don’t see appointments, we will have an added hour to see patients.

🐾This closed lunch hour will allow our doctor to make follow-up phone calls and contact pet parents about lab work done the previous day,

Our aim with this change is to optimize our time every day so that we can provide the best possible care to our patients and clients. We hope you’ll find this beneficial and welcome any thoughts or feedback you may have!

Today is all about Gennifer, a vet tech here at LLAH hospital. Gennifer has been working in the veterinary field for 7 years, motivated by her love for animals (particularly sphynx cats!). Gennifer started as a kennel attendant, and realized her true passion for veterinary medicine, committing herself to becoming a veterinary technician. Gennifer has spent most of her career working in emergency hospitals and facing urgent medical cases head-on. When she started searching for a change in pace, she found Lake Lavon Animal Hospital and has become part of our family! Let’s give Gennifer a round of applause for all her hard work!

Today, LLAH is celebrating Tiffany! Tiffany is our resident Rottie lover. She started her career in insurance but switched to the veterinary field in 2017. She always had a passion for animal health, and after her rottweiler passed away from cancer, she began working in pet hospice care and with at-home euthanasia services. Now, Tiffany is a valuable technician here at LLAH, who enjoys the opportunity to care for her fellow Wylie community members. Let’s show some appreciation for Tiffany!

Erin started working in the veterinary field as a teenager after volunteering at a feral cat rescue, and now has over 20 years of experience. Her background means that for her, the best part of working with animals today is employing fear-free techniques. Working with our patients’ behaviors and ensuring they are as comfortable and stress-free as possible is her specialty! Erin works both in management and as a Vet Tech, and always makes time to help her team and her clients with everything they need. Join us in thanking Erin for her years of dedicated service to animal health and our LLAH family!
