Ginnie competed this past weekend at The Pet Pro classic in three different competitions! She competed in a creative grooming competition, a poodle competition and a wire haired competition!

She won 2nd place with a schnauzer named Bubbles! (Thank you Tommy for letting Ginnie borrow Bubbles!) And got an honorable mention with a poodle named Decker! (Thank you Deckers family for letting her borrow him!)

Liz competed in her first ever grooming competition this past Sunday at the Pet Pro Classic!

She won 3rd place with Jennifer Nellets standard poodle Lucinda (thank you Jennifer for letting Liz borrow her!)

We are so proud of her and can’t wait to see her compete again in the future!!

We love a good before and after!

This cutie is a wire haired dachshund.
They are traditionally groomed through a process called handstripping.

Handstripping is removing or stripping overgrown and dead coat from the hair follicle with your hand. It’s very similar to deshedding!

This past weekend, Jinx Merlot Pet Grooming invited the Texas Professional Pet Groomers Association into our salon!

Many wonderful Texas groomers came together to get hands on lessons from some of the top pet groomers in the state!

Liz and Ginnie also attended! We can’t wait to show everyone what we learned. 🐶 ❤️ 🐾
