Today gave us the PERFECT excuse to deep clean the entire tack room!!! ⛈️

Starting with all our cinches - you can tell we have a type and I’m proud to use Airflex cinches on all our saddles. You don’t have to over tighten these for them to hold, they are comfortable, last forever (some of these are almost 10yrs old) and they clean up really well. 👌

We use some bleach water, scrub up all the cracks and then hose them down. They get this treatment about every other month and we spray with sanitizer weekly in between.

I have these cinches linked in our “NRS Favorites” if you want to try one here they are for easy access ⬇️

I suggest the roper style with the wide center, and the roller buckle 🤩

We just took some updated videos of Mario riding around 🤗

He’s been coming along well, and with only having about 45 days of riding so far he takes most things is stride. He loves long trotting pastures or hitting the dirt roads. He will WTL circles in the arena, starting to move off leg, he will carry a flag, cross all our obstacles including our teeter totter and enjoys his human partners. ❤️

Measures to finish at 15h, he’s available in Wynnewood Oklahoma. We’d be happy to keep him in our program as well!

Did you know without any resistance there won’t be growth?

This is true for us humans as well as our horses 🐎

If you never get into any resistance, struggle, or hard spots you’re likely not progressing. Now I’m not saying you should be fighting with your horse everyday, I’m saying don’t be afraid of some pushback when asking for more because if your efficient on working through it you’ll come out the other side FARTHER then when you started. 💪

Kip’s Training Update for the Week 🥳

Kip only has a few months of riding under his belt but he’s coming along great. We have already had him tracking & roping the sled for fun, down the trail, on the cutting flag and in a few online ranch horse shows!

Most recently he’s been learning how to back circles, use every part of this body, be responsive quicker to cues, lope over logs, and transition from a faster lope to a slow lope.

He’s been fantastic to have in our program, and we look forward to seeing just how far we get! 🐎
