Did you know that urinary blockages are a serious and potentially life-threatening condition in cats? It's true! And understanding the signs and knowing what to do can save your feline friend's life! 🐾

Urinary blockages occur when a cat's urethra becomes obstructed, preventing them from urinating normally. This can lead to a buildup of toxins in their body and cause severe discomfort. But fear not! Here's what you need to know:

Keep an eye out for these symptoms:
- Straining to urinate
- Frequent trips to the litter box with little to no output
- Crying out in pain while urinating
- Licking around the urinary opening excessively
- Signs of distress or lethargy

If you notice any of these signs, don't delay! Contact us immediately. Prompt treatment is crucial to relieve the blockage and prevent complications.

To help prevent urinary issues, make sure your kitty stays hydrated by providing plenty of fresh water and feeding them a balanced diet. Some cats may benefit from wet food to increase their fluid intake. Keep those litter boxes clean and accessible, and consider providing multiple boxes in different areas of your home to encourage regular elimination.

💖 Let's keep our beloved feline friends happy, healthy, and purring by staying informed and proactive about their urinary health! 🐱💕

Did you know that just like humans, our furry friends can suffer from osteoarthritis too?

Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative joint disease that can affect pets of all ages and breeds. It causes pain, stiffness, and decreased mobility, impacting their quality of life. But here's the good news: early detection and management can make a world of difference!

Keep a close eye on your pet and watch out for signs such as:
- Limping or favoring a limb
- Difficulty getting up or lying down
- Reluctance to climb stairs or jump
- Noticeable decrease in activity levels
- Swelling or stiffness in joints

Regular check-ups with a veterinarian are crucial for early detection and proper treatment. They can recommend lifestyle adjustments, medications, or supplements to help alleviate discomfort and keep your pet happy and active for years to come! Ask one of our veterinarians about recommendations regarding osteoarthritis for your pet!🩺

Let's give our furry pals the love and care they deserve by staying vigilant and proactive about their joint health! Together, we can keep those tails wagging and those purrs going strong! 🐾💕

It could be that your furry friend is showing signs of a common type of arthritis called osteoarthritis.

Congratulations Finn 💖 We are proud of you! Keep up the hard work!

🛎️Ding ding ding! We are thrilled to ring the graduation bell for Finn!

💔When we first met Finnegan and his mom, things were pretty rough. He and his cousin dog, Bentley, with whom he lives, were getting into frequent injurious fights. Finn would guard good at first and would get conflicted in small spaces, but by the time we met them, Finn would fight Bentley on sight. And Finn’s anxiety made it hard for him to leave the home to walk, for enrichment, or to learn.

❤️‍🩹Flash forward six months and thanks to their people’s hard work, and a skilled assist from the fantastic Dr. Carron at to treat Finn’s underlying anxiety, Finn and Bentley can now chill together in common spaces for three or more hours and walk together. Finn has even been cleared to continue working his brain in our fun sport classes.

❤️The boys will always need careful supervision and cannot be together around food, but peace has been restored in the household! And Finn’s world has been made bigger and less scary. ❤️

🥹 We are just 👏so proud👏 of Finnegan, Bentley, and family. Keep up your great work, friends! 🎓🎓🎓🎓

ℹ️ if you and your best friends struggle with interdog aggression, we’d love to help. Our interdog aggression work usually starts with an initial behavior consultation of 90-120 minutes, then we move to short, affordable virtual sessions of 15-30 minutes per session in which we coach you to work your dogs together at home without a trainer standing there changing the dynamic in the household. It’s an affordable and effective method of working through one of the more challenging problems people bring to us. Visit our website to find out more!

In response to the emergence of a new bacterial respiratory pathogen affecting dogs, it is essential to take immediate steps to protect their health. This pathogen, which is currently being closely studied by veterinary experts, can pose a significant threat to the respiratory wellbeing of dogs.

To mitigate the risk of transmission, dog owners are advised to limit their pets' exposure to other dogs. This includes avoiding places like dog parks, kennels, and other settings where dogs congregate and interact closely. By reducing contact with other dogs, the chances of spreading this pathogen can be significantly lowered.

Additionally, maintaining regular health check-ups and following the guidance of veterinarians is crucial during this time. Although there is no specific vaccination for this new pathogen, keeping dogs in good overall health can help them better cope with potential illnesses. By being vigilant and taking these preventive measures, we can help ensure the safety and health of our canine companions.
