Who wants a new baby? Please consider fostering or adopting! They have received over 100 pets just this weekend!
π¨ This Weekend Only! π¨ After 140 days of Code Red status, Cincinnati Animal CARE is waiving adoption fees for all adult animals over six months of age! We need your help to finally clear the shelter, October 9 and 10!
We took over as your county shelter August 1 of 2020 with a shelter that was completely empty of everything except dogs and cats. From day one, we've always been teetering on being full and since May 2021, we have been over capacity, often critically over capacity with dogs living in emergency kennels with no outdoor access or even in our offices. We're confident if we can start from zero, we can have a much better handle on population control heading into 2022.
Waived adoption fees will not alter the shelter's standard adoption process. The community can rest assured that all adoption counseling and screening protocols will remain in place throughout the weekend. Cincinnati Animal CARE follows nationwide best practices and recent research has shown that reduced or waived adoption fees result in more successful adoptions, longtime shelter residents getting adopted, and increases the lifesaving rate of open-intake animal shelters.
Adopt this weekend, save a life, and clear the shelter!
