On May 22 we hosted Libbey Elementary 1st graders! They learned all about pigs, cows, milk cows, rabbits, chickens, alfalfa and horses! We were looking at our mares and Jayla decided to show off by having the most handsome stud c**t while they were there! All the kids were sooo quiet looking so we didn’t make her nervous! What a ranch field trip for the books!

Shiny Irish Pete has proven himself both indoor, outdoor and has bred mares with no problems! You heard it here first folks! This sweet mares first ride today was smooth sailing! Watch for her up for sale later in the year! Looking forward to seeing her progress over the next few months!

Yesterday was a busy day here at the Mantle Ranch! Woke up to 12 babies, 9 babies made it alive, which is still an impressive litter size. Once you taste Mangalista pork aka “the Kobe beef of pork” you’ll never go back!

We are anxiously awaiting a new litter of Mangalista piglets!!!! Stay tuned to see more curly haired cuteness!
