Our dogs from one of our single runs got some treats and wanted to say hi! Every single kennel on this run is full. We are almost always at capacity, especially for medium/large breed dogs, so if you are looking to adopt a dog that size you have plenty of great puppers to choose from. If you find a dog we still encourage you to reach out as we can place you on our waitlist and provide other resources to help. You are always welcome to swing by during open hours and have an animal scanned for a chip as well as file a FOUND report on our website.
As always we are extremely full on medium and large dogs. Due to the holidays adoptions are down, which happened every year. Here is a video of one of our double runs. If you see a cutie you are interested please go to our website to find and learn more about them. Better yet, you can come down in person and see them for yourself! Can’t adopt? Come and walk one of our dogs. All you need is to be over 18 and have a valid ID. We hope to see you soon.
When Nova’s previous owners were told she was at the Humane Society they said they were fine with that, that’s why they left her at the park because they now have puppies they would rather have.
Unfortunately, this is a story that plays out again and again… But it was still a shock to hear it said so plainly. Nova still has a lot of life and energy in her at four years old and makes us smile everyday, we don’t know how someone could trade her for the world! She needs to loose a bit of weight to be healthy but that shouldn’t be hard as this girl loves her zoomies. She even does the cutest dance when excited. Check out her bio to learn more about Nova and contact our adoption center with further questions.
Beau will participate in all of your fun activities. He might be ten years old but this boy isn’t about to miss out!
It's always so sad to see animals come to us, but especially when they are seniors and you know they spent their entire lives devoted to their family. Beau's owner was no longer able to care for him so he gave him to a homeless person who was also unable to care for him so he brought him in to us. Beau has enjoyed time in one of our staff member's offices and has quickly become a shelter favorite. He keeps a clean kennel and loves to go on walks, walking very politely on leash. Beau is a bit of an attention hog and likes to be around people and wants to follow you around, he doesn't like to be locked in the office when all the action is happening in the lobby! Beau gets along fabulously with all the dogs he has met, big or small, happy or grumpy. He enjoys his treats and will "sit" and "shake"! Beau also likes his toys and will even carry around two in his mouth just to show you. If you have a special place in your heart for sugar muzzles come in and meet Beau this week!
Santa isn’t the only one that likes milk!
Look at this cutie guzzle that bottle, you can hear her slurping away. She is still too young for adoption but she is working diligently to gain weight and grow so she can go home with you! Love kittens and puppies? Sign up to foster today and bring home a cutie like this to care for, best part is you are saving a life! All food and supplies are provided.
Just remember this is kitten formula, not cows milk!
Come on down to our open house, here are some of our available cuties! We will be open until 7 pm and all adoptions are 25% off with a donation to our Pet Pantry. Cookies and Hit Chocolate are available, we hope to see you soon!
A beautiful update on Max, the dog dumped by his owner who wasn't doing well at our shelter. This just shows how a dog's life can change after adoption! Our hearts are so happy!
Bobby is looking for an adopter or a foster that can look past some cosmetic issues.
Animal Control picked up Bobby and brought him in to us. They said the people that called him in told them he had been wandering around as a stray in this condition for years! Bobby’s coat sure didn’t happen overnight, this comes from neglect over a long period of time. It can also take a long time for the fur to regrow so we are looking for someone who can see past the cosmetic and see that amazing dog Bobby is. If you are interested please check out our website to learn more about Bobby and his story.
Handing out toys donated to our adoption center! The dogs always appreciate enrichment opportunities… And opportunities to sneak past our staff when their doors are open as you will see. Some of the dogs in this video have been placed, such as Winnie who is dog number two. If you see a dog you are interested in check our website to read their bios.
*** Adopted ***
Winnie is a medium size Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix who would love to get out of our shelter.
Some dogs do better than others in a kennel environment, while others really struggle. Winnie is one of the dogs that struggles in a kennel environment. We have her on one of our quietest runs and give her as much love as we can, but it’s just not the same as a home environment. She has spent two months with us looking for her forever home and that is two months too long. Please share this post so we can try and find her a home for the holidays. Head to our website to learn more about Winnie and apply to adopt her today.
Are you needing some help with the holiday baking? Well Ube is a professional biscuit maker, just look at him kneading that dough! Check out his profile on our website or come down and meet him in person!
Baby Cow is one of our newest intakes.
We don’t know what Baby Cow’s story is but as you can see in the video he came to us extremely skinny, he only weighs around 37 pounds currently. Despite this, Baby Cow has a happy and outgoing demeanor and he loves attention. He has met both a large and small dog since coming to us and was great while meeting them. Come see Baby Cow in person and you will know why our staff adores him.
