PIESANO UPDATE 🐈‍⬛ He's finally home from a month-long ICU stay at the vet (11/28-12/28) and we couldn't be more grateful! 😊Thanks to all who've donated to support his care - you're the best! 😇It's been a tough road to recovery and this continues with daily wound cleanings and precautions to prevent infection, but this sweet boy's resilience inspires us all. Despite his FIV+ status, PIESANO's gentle spirit and love for head rubs and food will make him the perfect companion for someone special - could that be you? Please message us to learn more. Your continued prayers and good vibes mean the world to PIESANO. We're running an end-of-year fundraiser to help cover his vet bill payments - any contribution is a blessing! ⭐ Paisano update! 🐈‍⬛❤️

⭐ Appetite is a BIG one! He is doing so much better, the large wound on the side of his neck is still present but it's healing and his energy is so much brighter. He is still in the special care of VHA for his health and wellness. We are waiting for the large wound to heal more before our rescue can take him back into our care (this is due to the risk of infection and his compromised immune system).

⭐ Please send some holiday cheer his way in the form of donations if you are able! We are so incredibly grateful for all the care and help everyone has sent his way thus far but the bill is a big one! ❤️🎄⛄🐈‍⬛🎁

Hey everyone! Here's a Paisano update for you all! He is STILL in special care at VHA. They are taking wonderful care of him but the vet bill climbs each day he is there. He still has a large open wound on the side of his neck which is due to the vet being unable to suture it closed from lack of excess skin in that area. For a while there he was fighting an infection that he couldn't kick, now he's stable but we are still being cautious. We are so grateful for the financial help we have received so far, but his care is ongoing so we ask for more support if you are able. Please share or donate!!! 🐈‍⬛❤️

‼️🐈‍⬛UPDATE🐈‍⬛‼️

Hello everyone, we wanted to give an update on Piesano here!

Here is his before and after images of his surgery. You can very clearly see in the first two images the dead skin and open wound. And in the second pair of images the cleared up skin and sutures the vet was able to do. There's still a slight amount the vet was not able to stretch to repair so that will need to be treated and wrapped as he heals, which will be careful work as he is a tad bit spicy. He is also stabilizing his blood count on his own!!! We are holding off on the transfusion for now but we definitely are still asking for help if you can provide it. He's got a long road ahead of him.🐈‍⬛❤️ More updates to come...

Sunday update on Pizzano🐈‍⬛
While he has been improving a bit each day in ICU, his condition declined today, spiked a high fever & showed incision infection, and had to place IV again, push fluids & antibiotics anti inflammatory meds. Please say a prayer & send him good vibes. 🙏We haven’t come this far to lose him now. Being FIV positive, his immune system is compromised so this healing is very challenging for his little body. He is trying. Today we are well over $4,000 in vet costs and now faced with additional time in hospital. We’re so thankful for the donations we’ve received so far, but truly hope we can raise more to cover his care. If you can help us help him, please make a donation for his care & healing! 😇

Thursday: Happy thanksgiving everyone! Today we are thankful for catching this little guy early this morning.

And boy is he is in rough shape... A huge nasty wound on his neck with infection and dead skin. But that's only what you can see on the outside, inside the poor thing is anemic and fiv+ which isn't helping with his battle with the infection from his horrible wound. He will be recieving a blood transfusion and wound care. The next 24 hours are very important for him. Please keep him in your thoughts.🐈‍⬛

If you are able please support us however you can and share. We want to give this little trooper here a fighting chance. We are looking at over night care, antibiotics, surgery, and a blood transfusion the cost is steadily climbing up closer to $6,000 ❤️

We would also like to take this time to thank everyone in our community who puts so much love, effort, and care into helping animals in need. We are so grateful for you all!
