This is the first time these little ducks have been allowed to play in their pond. This is the definition of the phrase: “Joie de vivre”.
Baby Goats!
We welcome Pickles to the family at Santos Family Farm!!
Tomato Greenhouse Transformation: After
The aftermath of taking out all those tomato plants made this greenhouse feel a whole lot less claustrophobic. We now have the opportunity to open up this space to the meat birds to make sure they are extra cozy for this upcoming winter.
As sad as it is to see the tomato plants disappear, we are fortunate to be able to grow some other fresh veggies during this time of year. With Thanksgiving approaching, come stop by this Saturday to check out some of our amazing fresh greens (arugula, lettuce mix, mesclun mix), radishes, cabbage, pac choy, definitely some of our poppin potatoes, and delicious winter squash! Plus, the scenery is beyond peaceful. Hope to see you there!
You can also catch us at the last 2021 Beaverton Market this Saturday where we will also have eggs and meat birds.
Tomato Greenhouse Transformation: Before
We recently transformed the largest greenhouse at the farm. With approximately 400 plants to take out, we observed some tremendous root structures and miraculous mold colonies. This is the before video transformation.
