Friends of Eden Animal Rescue is thrilled to announce the addition of a Cat-Only Spay Clinic for the months of March, April, and May!

Spaying or neutering your feline friend is one of the best decisions you can make for their health, happiness, and well-being. This simple procedure can help with:

Behavioral issues

If not, there are local rescues offering a free or low-cost spay and neuter programs and have been for years! Please reach out to vet offices or these rescue programs and get your pets (dogs and cats) as well as community feral cats scheduled in!

Animal Protection Society of Caswell County is beyond full, a situation that has persisted for months with no end in sight, unless we all focus on spay/neuter seriously!

This overpopulation epidemic is not isolated; it mirrors the state of shelters in surrounding counties and reflects a nationwide trend. The crisis is persistent, and it is clear that neither warehousing nor adoption alone can resolve this predicament.

Why fix kittens by five months of age? 🧐 Here are some of the health benefits:

1) decreased risk for mammary carcinoma
2) the elimination of reproductive emergencies such as pyometra
3) avoidance of unintended pregnancies (as early as 4 months)

Thousands of dogs and cats are taken in by the Rockingham CO Shelter annually. Regrettably, most of these animals are not spayed or neutered. And due to limited space or specific conditions, not all are saved (rescued, adopted, reclaimed).
We can change this!

Urgent Call to Action!

We understand that spaying/neutering is crucial, but we can't make it mandatory or provide financial assistance. However, our partnership with the Humane Society of the Piedmont offers affordable spay/neuter services, including rabies vaccines and pain medication.

Despite our efforts, we're struggling to fill available spots. We're making one final appeal to fill the July 2nd spay run. If you need these services, please respond to this post TODAY! We have 3 male dog spots and 3 female cat spots available.
