❓ Did you know ❓
Local Rescues have been offering a free or low-cost spay and neuter program in Caswell CO for years!
✴️ There is a FREE or LOWCOST Monthly Transport Program, families bring their pets to Yanceyville on the scheduled day and retrieve them the following day. Message Fine Whines and Lickers or email them for more information ( [email protected] ).
✴️ If you're able to drop off and pick up in Eden, NC, which is nearby, there is an additional LOW COST Spay Neuter Monthly Transport Program option as well offered by Friends of Eden Animal Rescue . For more details on the program or to schedule, message their page or text 336-912-1178.
The shelter has reached its capacity, a situation that has persisted for months and is deteriorating daily. This overpopulation epidemic is not isolated; it mirrors the state of shelters in surrounding counties and reflects a nationwide trend. The crisis is persistent, and it is clear that neither warehousing nor adoption alone can resolve this predicament.

We all need to take responsibility and prioritize spaying/neutering. It begins with us, not just with idle talk of "someone needs to do something."

If your dogs, cats, or community feral cats are not spayed or neutered, take action today to address this! Please!

⚛️ Want to save thousands of homeless dogs and cats? ⚛️
Great... spay/neuter just one and it will save thousands, easily!
Might sound crazy but it is true!

Indeed, 1 + 1 can quickly become 6, and before you know it, those 6 multiply into 60.

The costs of caring for a litter (or litters over time) of cats or dogs and finding them permanent homes can be overwhelming. It's often far more economical and humane to spay or neuter your pet early on.
Did you know?
Thousands of dogs and cats are taken in by the Rockingham CO Shelter annually. Regrettably, most of these animals are not spayed or neutered. And due to limited space or specific conditions, not all are saved (rescued, adopted, reclaimed).
We can change this!
Prioritizing spaying and neutering is essential; there are more homeless dogs and cats than there are families willing to provide them with a lifelong home.

Don't delay any further—ensure your pets are spayed or neutered soon!

Thank you!

Urgent Call to Action!

We understand that spaying/neutering is crucial, but we can't make it mandatory or provide financial assistance. However, our partnership with the Humane Society of the Piedmont offers affordable spay/neuter services, including rabies vaccines and pain medication.

Despite our efforts, we're struggling to fill available spots. We're making one final appeal to fill the July 2nd spay run. If you need these services, please respond to this post TODAY! We have 3 male dog spots and 3 female cat spots available.

Don't miss this opportunity to get your pet the care they need. Let's work together to make a difference in our community!

3. Reduces roaming: Neutered pets are less likely to roam in search of a mate, decreasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

4. Decreases aggression: Neutering can reduce aggression and dominance behaviors in pets.

5. Prevents certain behaviors: Spaying/neutering can prevent undesirable behaviors like spraying or marking territory.

6. Reduces shelter intake: By reducing unwanted litters, we can decrease the number of pets ending up in shelters.
