Celebrating Valentine's Day with four lovely teenagers. We focused on John 3:16, the greatest love story ever! With new Journal Bibles, and a resource on God's promises, we wrote, drew, and talked about God and his one and only son, Jesus. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus with these precious girls! I appreciate my neighbor and friend, Jessica for taking pictures, helping, and encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. Here are a few pictures!

Gilead's Rest had the pleasure of hosting the Yanceyville Fidelity Bank Christmas party last night. Lots of laughter, fellowship and good food. Smoked chicken, grilled asparagus, mashed sweet potatoes, pineapple cheesebake, rolls, brownies and ice cream, with spinach dip and bread as an appetizer. My picture didn't turn out too well, but the smiles are beautiful!Thank you so much Fidelity Bank for trusting Gilead's Rest with your Christmas celebration!

Hi all, I have a friend who has been taking supplies to families in Western NC for several weeks. I am going to meet her Saturday or Sunday. Long johns, socks, hats, gloves, socks. I am sure they can also use can openers, non perishable food. I will be in Roxboro tomorrow afternoon if any of my friends there have anything you would like to donate. Some are camping. I am sure most of you have already sent your contributions, but if not, or you have more, I can fill up my car! Thanks in advance for anything you feel led to do!

That's a wrap! Week 6, and year 2 of Horsemanship at Gilead's Rest is over! Rain and storms prevented us from riding as much as we would have liked, but this amazing group of Scouts handled the horses well with strong winds and heavy rain. The rain also prevented me from taking as many pictures, and I apologize to the Scouts for not having many good ones to show. Many thanks to our volunteers for making this camp a successful event! Royce, Quincey, Lexi, Henry, and Kim.....y'all are awesome!!

Horsemanship Week 4 is completed and we are so proud of the 10 Scouts that participated. This post has a video, Ace is young and his rider is getting him to trot at a steady pace, so proud of horse and rider!

So, the wind blew a tree on the pasture fence. Kim got his saw, cut it where we could clear the fence, and I asked, are we going to get the branches up? He said, Naw, we are going to let the deer have it, this is the "Deere" he was talking about. He also let the Deere push down some dead trees instead of sawing. Kim is very resourceful!
