See you at Yankton's Parade of Lights

The time has finally come!!! Thursday, Dec.5th, the 2024 Holiday Festival of Lights is ready to illuminate Yankton. Join us for an entire evening of family fun. Our FREE pre-parade activities will be kicking off at 4pm in The Brewery at 2nd and Walnut. Then stick around for the biggest holiday parade to date as over 80 festive floats light up the downtown Merdian District, starting promptly at 6pm. Make your way down to Meridian Plaza at the base of the Meridian Bridge following the parade as we light the Christmas tree, enjoy a fireworks show, get a visit from Santa, and enjoy FREE hot chocolate and cider compliments of First Dakota. The BIGGEST and BRIGHTEST holiday parade in South Dakota, right here in Yankton!

🇺🇸 In observance of Veterans Day, the Veterinary Medical Clinic will be closed on Monday, November 11th.

🇺🇸 We take this time to honor and thank all the brave men and women who have served in the military.

🇺🇸 We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, November 12th. Thank you!

Veterinary Medical Clinic is so appreciative to everyone that participated in the 10th Annual Harvest Halloween Monster Paws Dog Walk on October 26, 2024. We love seeing faces return year after year! This is an event that meets at the splash pad downtown Yankton and walks the bridge with our dogs. All attendees receive a goodie bag while those that dress up their dogs enter a contest for prizes!



We had Jack Skellington, pizza dogs, hot dogs, a dragon, a pig, the Purple People Eater, twin sisters, and Frankenweenie attend!

Big Dog Costume First Place – Ray with “Dakota” as a Dog Walker
Big Dog Costume Runner Up – Bo with “Chloe” as a Shark
Small Dog Costume First Place – Kenzie with “Rosebud” as an Avatar
Small Dog Costume Runner Up – Tiffany with “Aurora” as a Tiger
Owner/Dog Costume First Place – Abby with “Neven and Joey” as Janitor with Cleaning Crew
Owner/Dog Costumes Runner Up – Kylie and Brooklynn with “Julie and Rugar” as the Ghost Busters


Again, a big shout out to everyone that came and walked with us! A special thank you to our distributors for donating to the goodie bags for all to enjoy and the prizes given out! Thank you Hills Science Diet, Zoetis, Midwest, MWI, Virbac, Elanco, Merck, and Boehringer Ingelheim. You helped create smiles at the event!

She is giving me comfort, kisses, warmth and relaxation as I heal from total left hip replacement. Hubby, Doctor James Pajl also makes a great nurse. Thank you to the staff for covering and taking care of patients and clients while I am away from the clinic for recovery.

It's almost time for the 2024 Harvest Halloween Festival!🎃

The weather is looking promising, and we're so excited to try out our new venue at the lawn!

Trick-or-treating will still take place at downtown businesses from 10am - 12pm. All attractions (Haybale Maze, Corn Pit, Inflatables) open at The Lawn at 10am.

Martha attended the 6 week Yankton 101 Thrive Class. She highly recommends it for Everybody. Very informative and interesting how the different businesses, manufacturing firms, civic organizations, natural resources, recreational emmities, educational & medical communities, city & county governments work & fit together well. We LOVE Yankton!!
