Mazzy joined us again today for some daycare and training. We worked on ignoring two other dogs on beds chewing a long lasting treat. She offered quite a few behaviors that are much better than trying to investigate the other dogs.

We planned some snuggle time for Mazzy yesterday, but Remi and her had other plans🤣

Little Leo had the cutest fetch session today, we had so much fun.

Billie worked on giving eye contact in the presence of treats and distractions. Even though the treats are right there, she could only earn them by giving eye contact.

We had plans of doing some enrichment with Bella today in the form of scatterfeeding and a sniff walk. Bella had other plans, though🤣. All she wanted was to lounge in the grass and get some pets.

Miss Sophie worked with us today at daycare. We worked on trying to be calm on the mat while coming off into a middle position. Other than a bit of whining she did great.

Mazzy worked on some mat work today following a play session at daycare. Great work Mazzy.

Billie worked on some simple recalls and proximity work while in a group with other dogs. She did very well even with the distractions of other dogs.

Billie worked on some short recalls while other dogs were playing on the other side of the fence. She did very well at disengaging and adding in some focus.

Billie worked on coming into a heel sit today. She is a very smart pup, and eager to learn. Great job Billie.

Billie worked on offering an auto sit while on leash today. Good work Billie.

We have both been avid dog lovers for as long as we can remember. That is why we started our dog training business, Dog Sense, back in 2012. We have been providing the Yankton and the surrounding areas with positive training services ever sense. The summer of 2019 we had the opportunity to partner with the Red Hydrant and expanded our training business. In March of 2020 the opportunity to take over the business operations at the Red Hydrant came to us and we decided it was the best fit for us. We are happy to combine our experience with dog training with the daycare, boarding, grooming services. We would love to share this new adventure with you and your furry loved ones!
