This handsome approx 6-year-old gentleman is ready to win your heart and find his forever family! Jake is a sweet, intelligent boy who loves to go on walks and impress you with his smarts. He’s a leash-walking pro and knows commands like "sit," "paw," "sit pretty," "lay down," and "leave it." He’ll definitely keep you entertained with his fun and cheeky personality!

Jake is a toy enthusiast—squeaky toys are his favorite—and he’s always up for a game of fetch or some playtime. While he loves his independence, he also enjoys curling up near your feet to keep you company.

Jake has some preferences when it comes to his space, especially during mealtime, so he’d thrive in a home with adults or kids 16 and older who understand how to respect his boundaries. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and well-behaved, but he has a bit of a mischievous side—this escape artist can clear a 6-foot fence! Supervision is key when he’s outside.

This handsome boy is Stark, a domestic long-haired Ragdoll mix with a heart as soft as his fur. 💙 Stark came to us from a difficult situation, but his resilience and loving personality have truly shone through.

When he arrived, Stark was in rough shape—covered in fleas, with matted fur and overgrown nails. But thanks to the incredible care he’s received while with us, he’s been nursed back to health and is ready for a fresh start!

Stark is a diabetic, but don’t let that scare you—his condition is well-managed with a simple once-daily oral glucose-regulating medication. Despite his medical needs, Stark is a happy, affectionate, and easygoing guy who just wants a family to call his own.

This week, the Brookhaven Animal Shelter got a *paw-some* visit from none other than the Grinch himself! 💚 Our shelter dogs, who are still looking for their forever homes, had a howling good time picking out their very own special Christmas toys 🎅🐶, thanks to YOUR generous donations.

And that’s not all—thanks to our amazing friends at *Blankets for Buster and his friends* 🧸, every pup now has a cozy, brand-new blanket to snuggle up with just in time for the holidays. 🛏️❄️
