In the last two weeks we've had two amazing events and had a fantastic time experiencing them with you! Following a record setting 5K Any Way Color Run (THANK YOU!), we had a hit Halloween Monster Mash. Join Five Mile Woods Preserve Naturalist John Heilferty this Sunday for the Fall Open House or to participate in a 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘉𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘻 event at the Five Mile Woods Preserve, 1305 Big Oak Rd., Yardley, PA.

A guided pollinator BioBlitz, or “scavenger hunt,” will take place at 2:00 PM this Sunday, during the Five Mile Woods Preserve’s “Fall Open House” (which runs from noon – 4:00 PM). Attendees will see how many pollinator and/or flowering plant species we can document and upload to the free iNaturalist app.

Families and individuals of all ages are encouraged to participate! No fee or pre-registration is required. Questions? Contact: [email protected]

Join Five Mile Woods Preserve Naturalist John Heilferty this Saturday to participate in two 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘉𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘻 events at the Five Mile Woods Preserve, 1305 Big Oak Rd., Yardley, PA.

On Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM, join a guided pollinator BioBlitz, or “scavenger hunt” where attendees will see how many pollinator and/or flowering plant species we can document and upload to the free iNaturalist app.

Saturday evening at 8:00 PM, the Preserve will also host a BioBlitz Moth Night! Join the Preserve Naturalist at the white sheet to see what night-flying insects are drawn to the light. Once again, we will be photographing pollinator species to add to our 2025 Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz project.
