Like A Rolex, AKA Idaho, is back under the saddle after raising Mario, Chet, and Nitro. This ole gal is 17 this year. We often forget about the size of Idaho until we ride her. After a Chiropractic adjustment and acupuncture, Miss Idaho showed off her great lateral moves during our ride today. I'm riding to get in shape and Idaho is a blast to ride. We practiced some western Dressage while Jerry worked on two- tracking and pole work. It was a fun day.

Our horses during the recent Big Freeze over Christmas. Had hay in all the loafing sheds and it was hardly touched. Despite this, I felt better and worried less in that I did all that could for them. 😂🤷.

Like A Rolex, Idaho, came home today from the breeding barn! Thank you Kansas Center for Equine Reproduction, Dr. Hayden, and staff. You always take great care of us.

Bred to AQHA/APHA Smoking Sixcess, money earning son of Colonels Smoking Gun! Gunner is SW1 and SW2, so we should have some unique paint color next year.

Idaho is a daughter of A Tru Rolex and her babies are starting training next year!

The foal will be a Bay or Bay Dun. Super excited about this baby, too! Praying for a filly to replace Idaho. She is getting old on us. 😔

We have a great line up for 2023 foals. Yay!

NEA broodmare, "Miss Sadie Mae" (Rawhides Slvr Lady by Rawhides Slvr Bullet). I have grown to LOVE this mare! She greets me in the pasture and follows me. If I stop giving her attention, she nibbles on my shirt. 😁 Such a sweet soul. Her wild mane and forelock are to die for. I wish I was a better photographer to capture all that hair with her sweet eye. Sadie has a bun in the oven by Heza Mobspark for 2023.

My search is over! I have been searching for a third broodmare for two years. Very excited to present, Rawhides Slvr Lady, our newest addition to the broodmare band.

She is a 2013 AQHA & FQHA (at 92% foundation bred), homozygous dun, grulla mare. She is royally bred for reining, working cow, roping, and ranch horse competition. She has a great mind, very intellegent, and so sweet. And gorgeous! I have always wanted a grullo!!

Bred and foaled by the Bryant Ranch in Oklahoma. Her sire, Rawhide Slvr Bullet, is the #1 AQHA High Point Open Reining Horse with 345 AQHA Points. He is also an AQHA Champion and earned multiple NRHA Bronze Awards. Rawhides Slvr Bullet is sired by Dunit Rawhide, a son of Hollywood Dun It. The maternal dam is a daughter of 3x AQHA World Champion, Zans Gold Jack.

On the maternal pedigree this beautiful mare goes back to Docs Wrangler and Watch Joe Jack and Hollywood Gold.

She is currently open and will be bred next spring. Still considering sires since our stallion is going on two and will be heading to the trainer.

Once our herd sire, Dynamic Chrome, has matured, this will be a great cross; my main reason for purchasing this mare. 😁

Around the ranch today. Probably our last hot day while Fall starts creeping in on us. The horses are peaceful this afternoon and some are wanting extra attention...Boo looking over the fence at me wanting some more hugs. Can't miss his beautiful baldfaced head stretching over the fence. Idaho is sporting her baby bump. In foal by APHA The Sweet Spot. Due in May 2022. Enjoy your weekend!
