Fresh Figs are here! I’ll be restocking as we pick them every other day until the first frost. Five figs for $3.

How to eat a fresh fig- eat everything but the stem! The inside is so sweet and delicious - like honey. If you’ve never had a fresh fig your mind will be blown, it’s nothing like a Fig Newton!

Or you can make them into Figs and Pigs (wrap in half a strip of bacon -maybe add goat cheese- and bake at 450 for 15 minutes)

These figs are from across town at Last Adventure Farm on King Street. Farmer Dan lovingly covers them every year so they’ll put on fruit in the early autumn.
I have my own fig grove now as well, but my trees are still babies and I got only one fig this year!

I’m working on my mom’s roof soon, so today I harvested six gallons of moss from the roof and started a moss garden in the woods!
Gardening with native plants is so fun! This is the experimental phase for the Mossery. I’m sure I’ll learn so much during this process!

It’s a beautiful day in the Village!
There’s eggs and locally foraged jams at the Farm Stand! The Fig Jam is particularly amazing - we didn’t get many figs this year because of the drought, but Jea made a small batch of jam that captures that fresh fig taste!
