This weekend at the prestigious Hatboro Dog Club Show, Rigby not only won his first Major towards his Grand Championship, but he also made the Cut in an extremely competitive Working Group 😱😱

Thank you Judge Lloyd Constantine-Amodei for awarding Rigby BOB for a 3pt Major, and Judge Dr. Antonio Molina for the consideration in the Working Group. Thank you Judge Sulie Greendale-Paveza for awarding Rigby BOB on Saturday at Devon Dog Show for another point towards his Grand Championship!

Thank you to Nancy Weaver-Smith for your continual support and for trusting me with your special singleton! Thank you Lexie Ditlow for all of your advice and support and for freaking out with me when he made the cut! I had so much fun at Montgomery with friends I don't get to see that often and of course I learned a bunch!

Thank you to Judge Charles Olvis for admiring Rigby's sweet expression and temperament. I found it fitting that Rigby's first time 4-6 month BPUP was at this cluster, and 2 years later he finished in Bridgewater, NJ 🥹

Happy National Dog Day!

Rigby and I participated in his first ever Water Dog Test hosted by Colonial Newfoundland Club last weekend. I am so proud of Rigby and the progress he has made this season. He was very close to passing on Saturday!

He has the drive and determination for Water Rescue that has me out in the Lake every week swimming like I never have before 😆 He definitely has his dad Jonah's genes as a working dog!

Thank you to judges Benita Edds and Bethany Karger for the great advice and encouragement! Thank you to my family for supporting Rigby and I at our first test. And thank you to the committee and members of Colonial Newfoundland Club for helping us train all season and for putting on a fabulous test 🚣‍♀️

This weekend at the Virginia Adventure Cluster, Rigby was awarded his first ever Owner Handled Group placement! Thank you to Judge Dr. Carmen Battaglia for appreciating Rigby's movement and sweet expression and awarding this young boy Fourth in Owner Handled Working Group ❤️

Rigby also received 2 more points towards his Championship under judges David Bolus and Paul Willhauck! Only 2 more points to go 😊

I am so proud of how well Rigby showed (and behaved 😆) this weekend after some long and hot days. He got to step into the regular group ring for the first time and he presented beautifully against a stunning line up of dogs. He received many compliments this weekend and met a few new friends 🧡

This is what force free grooming looks like⬇️⬇️

I strive to make sure the dogs in my care are as comfortable as possible during their time in my salon. I allow dogs to sit or lay down as long as possible during their groom to minimize stress on their body and mind 🪷

Here is a short list of some of my stress reducing techniques ⬇️
🪷 No crating EVER
🪷 1-on-1 individualized attention
🪷 Decompression Session - I allow the dog as much time as they need to sniff around the salon as I feed them treats before we start grooming
🪷 I only proceed if your pet is willing - My goal is not to "get the job done" but rather that your dog has a safe and pleasant experience in my salon
