Spent a couple hours with my buddySteve Miller today. Talking about life and catching shots of birds in between words… Hey that rhymes! Here are a few backyard shots from last week as I begin to work on today’s shots. You never know who you may meet and who your next friend may be. Today was a good day.

Had a great time today shooting today. Went to Nixon Park today and met a fellow photographer and new friend Steve Miller. Definitely check his work out he has some great work. Anyway i took 2 cameras with me, 1 for birds, and 1 for macro photography of insects and such... Here are a few of the Macro shots- Hope you like them! Happy Easter Everyone! Easily one of the greatest days I've had in some time. I spoke the dream into life and shot EAGLES at the Conowingo Dam this morning. I know my friends have heard me talking and planning this day for months. It finally happened and i couldn't be happier. There are many mistakes in my photos from today. Flaws that i will improve as i return and practice- especially capturing the eagles as they glide in the air with speed. But i a more than happy with my first results. Over 2 hrs spent at the location and close to 2000 shots. I will be spending weeks going through the photos to find the good ones, but i thought i would show you a few captures today. Thanks again to the love of my life Elizabeth Napier-Bonvillain for toughing it out with me as she is suffering from back pain. And lastly shout out to my Father who i am blessed to still have with me. My father shared his passion for birds to me. When i was young we would walk for miles in the woods identifying birds. When HE was young he would draw pictures of Eagles. I really felt connected to him today as I shot these great birds. He was the first one i called when i got home from shooting. I LOVE YOU DAD!

I just wanted to shout out my buddy Mo Devlin for continuing to be a friend, a mentor and a constant inspiration for me. From keeping large aquarium fish to now photography Mo has been a source of knowledge and support. Although we don’t speak or see each other regularly there is a respect for one another that will last over time. How you carry yourself, how you treat others and what you give back to the world are important. Respecting the arts - important. Having a passion and passing it on to others is a gift. Mo gifted me with an incredible set of studio lights and other goodies for my home studio. An incredible gesture I won’t forget. So thank you Mo and thanks for the years of friendship. Also shout out to Blake Stevens and Scottie Schmidt and Elizabeth Napier-Bonvillain for handling the delivery of this gift to me. I appreciate you guys!
