THEY NEED OUR HELP!!
Hurricane Helene recovery isn't close to over for the Western Carolinas. One of our rescue partners in the Asheville area started a pet pantry for their area. So many have come to rely on their efforts. As time as went on, donations have diminished. This means they need us now more than ever. We are asking our York County community to spread the love by donating the following items (bolded items are the highest need):

COMMUNITY EDUCATION SPOTLIGHT
๐ŸŽƒ OCTOBER ๐Ÿ‘ป

We often get asked what area do all the pets that come into the shelter come from? And to be honest, most times it was a best guess. Not anymore!
Recently our system updated and allowed us to generate stats so that we can analyze where animals are coming from.

Why is this important?
This allows us to focus our community outreach, intervention, and enforcement programs in certain areas based on need.

Our graphic below will show information monthly on where stray and surrendered pets are coming from. It will also have key information on what percentage of these pets came in unsterilized. Don't forget the number one way to prevent overpopulation is to SPAY AND NEUTER!
