I’m a couple days late but Happy 5th FURiendiversary to Lizzy and Oliver! (Reggie will soon be hitting his 2nd FURiendiversary!) We have been visiting these FURiends every week since they joined A+F. Their humans even kept their schedule during the pandamic so it didn’t disrupt the pups routine 🥹 We are beyond grateful for these three and their parents! What can I say about these two?! Besides we absolutely LOVE our time with them? Speed and Barkley are two of our OF’s (Original FURiends)! They have the same personalities today as they did the first day I met them. Speed is laid back and go with the flow. Barkley is a ball of energy and always on the go. They are two of the absolute sweetest pups ever. 🐾 We are so thankful to their humans who have been with us since we started 💜

Hello to our A+F Family 💜 There are several new followers and prospective clients so I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself again. My name is Amanda and I am the owner and Lead FURiend Care Specialist here at Amanda & FURiends. I started this business back in March of 2019 after seeing a need for an elite all inclusive pet sitting company. We strive to be the best in our industry and offer a pet sitting experience unlike any other. Then back in 2020 we expanded those services and started our FURiend of Honor Wedding Services. (I’ve loved being able to help couples have their pets be part of their special day!) Along with being First Aid and CPR Certified; in May of 2020 I became the very first Fear Free Certified Pet Sitter/Dog Walker in York County. I am also the Vice President and sit on the Buy Local Coalition Board. As well as starting with my friend Jenn (and can’t forget Ben, Carmine, and Scott!) the annual Ales for Tails fundraising event.

Animals are my passion. I love that at the end of the day, my clothes tell a story of all the pets I got to play with. Every paw print, slobber mark, and piece of fur are just one of the many reasons why I love doing what I do. I love the excitement in their eyes when they see me. I love the snuggles. I love being able to give our clients peace of mind when their pets are in our care. Every day and every visit is always an adventure.

I would like to thank all our FURiends, their humans, my wonderful husband, family, friends, and supporters. Also a huge thank you to Jena, McKenzie, and Kimberly for everything you do for our FURiends! 💜🐾

A+F is a growing & professional pet care company, servicing clients in York County and currently accepting applications for part time team members. This is a as needed position (with the possibility of growing into a steady weekly position with dedicated clients/visits). We are seeking dog walkers and pet sitters (both drop ins and overnight/live in services when needed). Ideal candidates will be friendly with excellent customer service skills, highly organized, detail oriented, have the ability to multi task, team player, and LOVE pets (not just the cute & fluffy ones)! A flexible schedule is a huge plus!

Responsibilities -

Provide high-quality, professional, and loving care to all pets assigned. Including, but not limited too, feeding, administering medication, exercise, waste clean up, and giving them lots and lots of love!

Must be comfortable working with all breed & sizes of dogs and all types of animals.

Using our company’s app to write up a short report/update to send to the client along with a picture(s) after each visit.

Update management with any client updates on pets, locations, keys, instructions.

Be able to keep an attentive eye out for issues, updates, and overall quality care of all the pets in your care.

Requirements -

Experience caring for dogs & other pets. Dog walking/pet care experience preferred.

Must have a current driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

High level of patience, calm demeanor, and problem-solving attitude.

Have extreme attention to detail regarding written instructions and pet health.

Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. (bonus points if you have great photography & photo editing skills with your camera phone)

High energy, even higher integrity required.

Self-motivated and able to stay on task with little or no supervision.

Friendly and outgoing personality, able to interact with clients and co-workers in a consistently professional manner.

Have the personality that asks for assistance or clarification when facing any issue involving pets care.

Must be 21 years or older.

Reliable Smartphone with a data package, messaging, GPS, email, phone, and camera. Also, with the ability to download an app and use it throughout your entire working day with location services activated.

Physical requirements -

Must be able to work in all kinds of weather. (Including, but not limited to; heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)

Consistently and repetitively walk, kneel, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, grasp, and balance while walking/caring for pets.

Able to lift 60lbs+ from ground to table/vehicle (not something you'll generally have to do, but possible in case of an emergency).
