As we remain closed today, Thursday 2/20 we are keeping a close eye on travel conditions throughout the area. If you need to contact us regarding an upcoming appointment, please send a text message to the clinic at 757-867-8808. We do have staff members monitoring our messaging system and they will be available to assist you throughout regular business hours today. Stay tuned to our page for any additional updates. Last week the microchip company, SaveThisLife, has ceased operations. If your pet has a microchip registered with them your pets information is no longer accessible!

HomeAgain and 24PetWatch are currently offering free registration using your SaveThisLife microchip number. This means your pet does not need to be re-microchipped!

Be cautious of those furry critters seeking warmth in your home during the cold weather. Animals such as mice, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, foxes, and opossums carry and spread the disease known as Leptospirosis.

Leptospirosis is spread through the urine of the animals listed above and can live in contaminated water sources and soil for months. Not only can your pet contract this disease, you can too!

Keeping your pet's vaccines up to date is the best way to protect you and your pet from the disease.
