Holaway has stepped up and volunteered to man a booth for us at Grateful fest! Hopefully the foot traffic will help gather support :)
It is a long day to be by yourself so if anyone is available to join her that would be wonderful.
There will be a canopy and fan and cooler with water :)

Update on Grateful fest: It was moved due to rain, to August 14th! Unfortunately, I am out of town again on that weekend. However, one of our wonderful neighbors, Tris Holaway has stepped up and volunteered to man a booth that day!!
It is a long day to be by yourself so if anyone is available to join her that would be wonderful.
Also, I am looking for a canopy to provide some shade that day if anyone has one we can borrow.

Hi fellow dog lovers! This coming weekend Grateful Rescue & Sanctuary is having a fantastic event that I think would be a great place to get more interest in our dog park. I am unfortunately going to be out of town. Would any one be willing to man a table to gather interest? If so please comment on this post or send a PM.

Hi everyone! I want to apologize for the lack of posts and updates lately. I have had to start working 2 jobs so my free time is much more limited. However, I don't want this project to stall!

If anyone is willing to help get the work out please send me a private message on this group and I would love to talk with you and/or hear your ideas about how to drum up more support for a dog park in yorktown!

Update: We need more signatures! If you have not already filled out this form please take a second to do so. If you have, please consider sharing it with your friends and groups! I have given flyers to local businesses such as Balance Yorktown, Animal Medical Center of Yorktown, Indiana, Lowery's Home Made Candies, Happy Dogs, Leap Managed I.T., and Premiere Dance Center and they were all very excited at the idea. Keep sharing so we can drum up more support!!

This page/form is to gauge interest and support for a dog park in Yorktown, IN before I propose it to town council. Following this page and taking a minute to fill out the survey would be very helpful!

The area I am going to propose for the dog park is the field next to the YMCA. The grassy area between the corn field and the baseball fields.
I have spoken with the town manager and he agrees on this spot, I will post size estimate once it has been made. With Morrow's Meadow being a flood plane it would not be a good location due to debris, etc.

It will have a water fountain for people and dogs, benches, picnic tables and shade structures. I believe this would be a great addition to our community and allow the Yorktown dogs (and their humans) to get exercise, socialization!

I am not collecting donations at this time, but would like to gauge community support for this idea as well as any possible donations that may be gathered in the future.
