So been waiting to post this oddball out of Moto x Tequila to see how it progressed. It hatched tiny almost a month ago despite being over three months of incubation: Never seen anything like this. Its sibling is funky but nothing like it is. Wonder how this will continue. Fingers crossed for continued growth and thriving!

We’re still here…Just been hit by a whole slew of the plague that seemed to have hit once before Xmas and again after. I’ll spare you the details but it’s been rough and now I’ve thrown my back into a tissy.

But the show goes on! Look at all the hatches from the last couple of days!

Our next planned show isnt until NARBC Tinley in March but we might post pics for local pickup soon!

We are excited to announce that we will be vending at the All Animal Expo next Sunday Dec. 22nd at the Kane County Fairgrounds.

We will have a large variety of crested and gargoyle geckos of all ages available.

We will be in our regular spot - back wall in the middle! We anticipate getting there in the afternoon but we have a lot more to cup tomorrow morning so we will see how it goes!

NARBC Tinley PSA time!
Who is ready for a weekend of reptiles, good company, and maybe some shenanigans?

NARBC Tinley really is THAT big. People, vendors and attendees, come from all over the country and even some out of the country! Here’s a roundup of tips and commonly asked questions, but please feel free to ask any in the comments!

How do I get Tickets?
There are two types of tickets: VIP and General Admission. VIPs get in early on Saturday and Sunday along with setup on Friday. This ticket is $50 and is good all weekend. General admission is $15 for Saturday or Sunday (ticket only gets you one day). No Friday admission. Online ticket sales are still open but you can also purchase VIP at the show! General admission has a LONG LINE to start the show. See their website for info on tickets.

What is the parking situation like?
It can get a little crazy at opening time but do NOT park at LA Fitness unless you want to be towed. You may end up in the hotel lot even. Carpool if you can!

Can I hold one?
This is not a petting zoo type of show. Some animals will be available for holding/petting but many will not due to the nature of the show - packed full of people and stressful for animals!

Do not bring your own pets to walk around with. This is a show rule.

What about strollers?
If you can avoid it, leave them at home! The aisles are not all conducive to strollers, especially large ones. You will have to be extra conscious of placement. All kids need to be under constant and direct supervision. I say this as a mom.

See something and don’t like the price? Or don’t understand the cost? See something that’s “so small that you’d lose it”? There’s no need to make a comment, it just doesn't sit well with others. But feel free to ask questions about it!

What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes! Lots of standing and walking, not really anywhere to sit unless you’re in the hallway. It’s going to be beautiful out this weekend! Don't bring a coat in unless you really like saunas. I would suggest a bag to carry things. Also, be prepared to bring something home with a cooler in your car 😉

Be aware of your surroundings.
Try not to block people’s tables or others ability to view if you’re just talking to friends.

“Can you hold this for me? I just want to do a quick lap.”
Don’t ask a vendor to hold something and never go back. It leaves a sour taste in their mouth and ruins future relationships. If you end up changing your mind, tell them as soon as you can! BUT if you’re asking like, I just bought this from you, I don’t want to carry it around through the show, absolutely ask your vendor to hold on to it. Most will gladly do so!

What kinds of payment are accepted?
While it really depends on the vendor, cash is king (especially from a bargaining stand point). Many vendors will have accept credit/debit cards, some will accept Apple Pay, Venmo, CashApp, or Zelle as well. Just ask!

Food in the area? There are lots of food and shopping options in Tinley a park and the neighboring town Orland Park! Like A LOT. But if you don’t want to leave, there’s a restaurant in the hotel and concessions in the lobby.

Most important thing to do this weekend is to have FUN and enjoy the company of other reptile loving people!
