Our low-cost clinic prices help support our humane program to fight animal cruelty and to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. This week has been incredibly tough on our staff, but the outpouring of kindness and generosity from our amazing community has meant more than words can express. 💖 So many donations have come in for our animals, and we are beyond grateful for each and every one of you. Seeing our food shelves full after putting a call out is so heartwarming- we truly live in the best community.

We've had numerous businesses and community members offer to drop off meals for our team, and we are truly humbled by your support. Here are more of the animals we rescued yesterday. Have you ever heard the horrific sounds of an animal so cold they can’t even bark? We heard this yesterday with these poor pups. Frost bite wounds, severe breathing difficulties, bleeding ears, bleeding paws, bleeding tails. Now limping with swollen paw pads. All are safe and being treated at Animal Charity of Ohio. Thank you to Springfield Township Police Department for your assistance. We were able to utilize the back seat of their police cruiser to start warming up dogs while we awaited for our transport vehicle to arrive.

10 more dogs rescued!!!!!! ALL are dehydrated. Frozen water or no water!!! Insufficient shelter. Frost wounds, sores. All with varying degrees of medical needs from years of neglect. We don’t have words to share anymore. Our hearts are all officially broken. Our spirits are low. We are continuing to push through. Thank you to Mahoning County Dog Warden for coming out and helping rescue animals today. Please share. Keep us all in your thoughts, we have rescued 27 animals in the last 36 Hrs.

Today!!!! Just arrived to Medvet Hospital! Frozen to the ground, then hidden in the basement by owners. Humane Agents quickly carried this sweet senior guy because his legs were solid ice and unable to be used. Humane Agents didn’t think he was going to make it. Our team quickly got him wrapped in warm blankets and loaded into the vehicle. His temperature is so low, it doesn’t even read on the thermometers. He is now admitted into the hospital where he is fighting for his life. We have decided to name him Riser. Riser’s is a local restaurant our Humane Agents frequently visit for brunch to unwind. Just rescued!!! This little girl is Coco. She was absolutely frozen. Dehydrated and suffering in the below zero temps. This was a death sentence for her. Thankfully our humane agents seized her and brought her straight into Animal Charity. She is warm and safe! Please donate to her care, share. Help us, help them!!

Two dogs rescued! Humane Agents are taking reports and are still responding to calls. This tiny puppy and her dad were freezing and living in terrible conditions. The blanket you see was absolutely frozen. Please donate to their care. They are no safe and warm at Animal Charity.

Just rescued!!!! Humane agents just seized this girl. She was absolutely frozen. Dehydrated and suffering in this weather. We just got her back to our Clinic where she is being monitored and treated for hypothermia. Please consider donating to her care.

Seized! Humane agents just rescued this poor girl. She was absolutely suffering outside in the cold. Shivering badly. We are calling her Jean Jacket. She is now safe and starting to warm up at Animal Charity of Ohio. Our agents are now back on the road responding to more calls.

Updates: Thor and Shortstop were treated and released from MedVet today.

Thor is suffering from dehydration and starvation. His f***l tests all came back negative. The abnormalities in his blood work are from being neglected. We are hoping to get him set up with a medical foster in the next couple of days where he can begin decompressing and feeling better.

Shortstop had an emergency surgery to close up a few of the ear wounds that were bleeding. The rest of his dozen or so wounds were all clipped and cleaned. Some of his wounds were old, but many were fresh. They do appear to be bite wounds. He will be getting his wounds cleaned and monitored daily. As well as a slew of medications to keep him pain and infection free.

SOS!!! Just rescued!! Our team dropped off Thor to Medvet and turned around and rushed back to meet humane agents! Shortstop was just rescued and is in tough shape. He has multiple wounds covering his face, head and neck. He was bleeding quite a bit. Our team bandaged him up in compression for the trip out to the hospital.

Urgent rescue!! On way to MedVet!! Humane Agents just rescued Thor. He was no receiving proper care and being neglected. He is extremely dehydrated, very underweight and extremely pale gums. Bloodwork is showing some critical issue because of his neglect. He has an old wound on his tail that is also causing issues. We are hopefully Medvet will be able to treat and stabilize him. Keep him in your thoughts!!

Four more dogs rescued by humane agents today! Chop, Zeus, prince and Big Mac have been through a lot. From two separate cases, they are now safe from the unimaginable. At one of these cases, Humane Agents unfortunately did discover a poor dog who appears to have apparently starved to death. We are actively investigating this case.
