Halloween is right around the corner! While it’s a fun time for us, it’s important to keep our pets safe too. Here are a few tips to make sure your furry friends have a safe and spooky time:
- Keep candy out of reach — chocolate and artificial sweeteners can be toxic to pets.
- Make sure costumes are comfortable and don’t restrict movement, breathing, or vision.
- Keep an eye on decorations and wires to avoid accidents.
- Make sure your pet has a quiet space to retreat to if they get scared.

Blade is showing off his stylish soft paws!

Soft paws, also known as soft nail caps, are small, vinyl caps that are glued onto a cat’s claws. They help prevent damage from scratching while allowing cats to retract their claws normally. These caps come in different colors (like Blade's teal and pink combo!) and protect furniture and skin while still allowing cats to stretch and scratch without causing harm.

Thanks to your incredible support, we raised $11,000 on our Fundraiser Day! We have donated $5,500 each to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and Samaritan's Purse for Western NC Hurricane Relief.

A special shout-out to our dedicated veterinarians who donated their time, our amazing medical staff who worked so hard to care for every pet, and our awesome front office team for handling all the calls and spreading the word about our fundraiser.

And of course, thank you to everyone who brought in their pet, added on a purchase of treats or candles, or came in just to make a donation. Your kindness and generosity truly made a difference for both animals and people in need! We’re proud to be part of such an amazing, caring community.🐾💖

Hurricane Helene has left many families and their beloved pets in need of support. We are teaming up with the Franklin County Sheriff's Department to gather pet food and supplies to send to the western part of the state for those affected by the hurricane.

We are accepting donations of the following items:
- Dog and cat food (HIGH PRIORITY!)
- Water (HIGH PRIORITY!)
- Leashes, collars, and harnesses
- Food and water bowls
- Crates and carriers
- Cat litter and litter boxes

Please drop off any donations at our hospital during business hours. Every little bit helps, and together we can bring some comfort to the pets and their families who need it most. ❤️
