One of our fabulous bottle feeders with a two day old kitten that just came in this afternoon. This tiny baby is loving his warm milk! Bottle feeders are gold, and we have some awesome ones. It's a very tough job and a true labor of love - but the rewards are great!

Poetry is a delightful and gentle girl with a heart full of warmth. She gets along beautifully with all the cats in her foster home, happily playing and bonding with her feline friends. Her favorite spot is the cat tree, where she can relax and take peaceful cat naps. When she's not lounging, Poetry enjoys engaging with wand toys or rolling in catnip, her playful spirit shining through.
Though she's content being around other cats, Poetry is also happy to share quiet moments with her foster mom, as long as the other cats aren't vying for attention. She's a calm and considerate soul who would love to find her forever family. Could you be the one to give her the loving home she deserves?😻

Purr Partners takes in so many injured and sick cats and kittens that sometimes it kind of even freaks us out! What if no one ever wants them? What if that special person never comes along? Can we keep helping without adopters that are willing to take on some of these super special babies? Delilah fits this category, and here she is in her Easter outfit! Delilah has no use of her back legs, but she's healthy and super happy and fun! She has a wheelchair, but she is a speed demon even without it as you can see from the video in the comments. She's just one of our super special adoptable babies!

There are more and more situations where people have ended up with too many cats- many more than they can care for. There are literally hundreds of these situations, and sadly, most of these cats never get a chance. It all starts with one unfixed female. This is why we say spay and neuter every cat you can- pregnant or not. It is not kind to let any kittens be born into a world where there is nowhere for them.
We were able to take six from such a situation. All came in with URI's , earmites, low body weight, fleas, anemia, and some paw pad swelling. At this time, not quite two weeks later, they are doing much better except for Glowwhiskers who was diagnosed with neuro FIP. We started her treatment yesterday and hopefully she will have a full recovery!
These are some of the lucky ones. Please spay and neuter everything you can!

Introducing Lime Tango, the gentle and endearing kitty with a touch of timidity when it comes to being petted. Despite his shy nature, he shares a deep bond with his siblings, Lottie Dottie and Liesel, who he loves being groomed by. However, he does not have to be adopted with either sibling. He will adjust to a new home either alone or with a new kitty sibling.

Lime Tango enjoys climbing high to gaze out the window at birds, deer, and squirrels. He is particularly fond of playing with his toys, especially ping pong balls and golf tees. His beautiful white coat is adorned with multiple gray tabby spots adding to his distinctive charm. He is known as a Harlequin kitty and probably ahs some Turkish Van in his DNA.

🚨 SHOCKING NEWS! 🚨

We regret to inform you that 21-week-old Elowen has officially fired us as her rescue team. 😱💼

Why? Because she has not been adopted yet, and she finds this completely unacceptable. Her brothers all found their forever homes right away, and Elowen—who is OBVIOUSLY the most fun of them all—demands an explanation. 😾

She has filed a formal complaint (in the form of tiny meows and dramatic flops) and is now taking matters into her own paws. Effective immediately, she will be personally screening applicants to ensure she finds a family that appreciates her incredible polka-dot belly, expert snuggle skills, and professional-level birdwatching talents.

If you think you meet Elowen’s strict (but reasonable) requirements—must provide unlimited string toys, love cuddles, and preferably have a playful friend for her—please submit your application before she takes over the entire rescue.

Happy April Fools’! But seriously… Elowen is ready for her forever home! Apply today before she starts drafting more complaints. 😹🐾

🚨 NEW POLICY ALERT! 🚨

Effective immediately, all adoptions will require a CAT INTERVIEW. That’s right—you won’t be picking the cat… the cat will be picking you! 😼

Applicants must:
✔️ Provide a resume of past cat experience
✔️ Demonstrate proper chin-scratching technique
✔️ Pass the “Can You Open a Treat Bag Fast Enough?” test

Failure to meet feline standards may result in rejection (or just some judgey side-eye).

Junior Mint came to Purr Partners as a shy little boy, not used to being around people and other animals. He took immediately to the other foster cats and loves to play with them. When he is held he purrs and purrs, and if he is alone with his foster mom, he wants her attention and will stretch out on the cat tree and reach out to her. He has become efficient with the computer and he especially loves to help his foster mom work. 😻

Junior Mint has tested positive for FIV, but that is not an issue. It is NOT contagious to other cats except through deep puncture wounds like those caused in fights by two unneutered males. It is NOT transmitted by using the same food and water bowls, litter boxes or toys, and many of us have FIV cats happily living with non-FIV cats in our own homes. FIV positive cats, with good vet care such as you would give any cat, can live a normal life span. 🐾

We've discovered a rare and new breed of feline called the Arachn-cat with 8 legs and 2 heads, one on each end. Or maybe the Octo-puss. What do you think we should name it.

If you looked up “how to have fun” in a dictionary, there would be a picture of Verona – either playing with herself or playing with her foster mates.
✅ She has the best personality. She is an all around great kitty – loves to play and is also very affectionate.
✅ Loves everything; people, other cats, toys, playing in the shower.
✅ She also has great manners, loves using the scratching post on the cat tree.
✅ She gets along well with kitties of all ages.
✅ Verona loves to snuggle with anyone. She hasn’t met a human or animal that she didn’t love.
If you are looking to add some fun and excitement to your life, Verona is the kitty for you.

Meet Baroque, the ultimate lap-loving, heart-stealing cuddlebug! He is affectionately known as Buddy, an in your lap kind of guy, eager for pets and all the attention he can get. This confident and friendly kitty will be your shadow, following you everywhere. Buddy’s always ready to turn any moment into playtime, especially when his favorite toys—balls, springs, and swinging rod toys—are involved. He’s got the energy to keep you entertained and the snuggles to keep you warm. Buddy makes friends where ever he goes with his affectionate outgoing personality. A foster and vet office favorite, he has never met a stranger.

Unfortunately, Buddy had a very rough start in life and was hospitalized several days after being found sick and starving under a porch at 4 weeks old. Both of his eyes were severely infected and, sadly, only one could be saved. Buddy does have some nasal congestion and eye drainage from his remaining eye as a result. His adoption fee is reduced because of this. Buddy will be an excellent furry family member and this does not stop him a bit - he is energetic, playful and loves to eat. Some of these kitties do improve as adults when their immune systems become more robust. No special care is required and he can live in a home with other cats.

Gentle and sweet Buddy gets along with children and other cats. Play with the kids, Buddy’s your guy. Have a young kitty that needs a friend to chase and wrestle with, Buddy is ready to go. If you’re looking for a loving, active companion who’ll fill your days with joy, Buddy is the one!

It's a mess and Purr Partners needs puppy pads! Kitten season is here. Your help is most appreciated.

Kittens are being born. While these new creatures are so cute and precious, it's a struggle for them to survive. There are just too many for rescue to save them all, though we try to save as many as possible.

Purr Partners has just this past couple of weeks taken in moms with newborns, kittens from hoarding situations with URI, and kittens without moms. How a kitten survives can be truly remarkable and sometimes just because of their will to live.

The kittens Purr Partners has rescued are the fortunate ones, they have a chance at living and finding a loving home.

But kittens especially are messy while they are learning to be a cat. Our most needed supply right now is Chucks, puppy pads, If you can send some our way that would help a lot. You can order from our Amazon wish list, or Chewy wish list, or purchase them at PetSmart to leave in our donation boxes at the Capital Crossings, Six Forks Station PetSmarts in Raleigh, and the Wake Forest PetSmart.

With your help we save as many as possible.

We've just pick Marvelo up from the vet today after a right front leg amputation. He was surrendered or picked up and taken to the shelter with a severely broken leg. He is now safely with Purr Partners for recovery and when ready we'll find him a wonderful forever home that loves him and all three legs. This boy is sweet, already will come when called for attention, and loves head and neck scratches. For now he is resting comfortably and purring to help healing. We'll keep you updated on his progress and he adjusts to a safe life and living it on 3 legs. We already know that he loves attention. He's about 18 mo old and a big buff orange boy with gorgeous eyes.

Purr Partners has had a busy week getting kitties ready to meet adopters. Now it's your turn to visit the cats and kittens at PetSmart this weekend. Volunteers will be with the kitties at the Wake Forest PetSmart and the Six Forks Station PetSmart in Raleigh from 1-3p on Sat and Sun. Kissimee is a pretty little Torbie (tortie tabby mix) and has all the classic characteristics of a tabby; sweet affectionate, playful, friendly, curious, intelligent and beautiful! She is playful little thing that loves to chase laser pointers, climb cat trees and run thru mesh tunnels. She is a confident kitty and craves human contact. She is one that will jump in your lap the minute it is available. She will definitely be a couch potato with you. She has very quick reflexes and usually wins every game you play with her. She gets along well with kitties of all ages and has excellent manners. She will be the first to welcome any guest you may have. Her happy go lucky personality is so evident! Kissimee is ready to find her forever home.

Sweet treats for a Happy Valentines! 💞🐾🐾🐾 Watch for Eramus and Eggroll as they debut this weekend at PetSmart. It's difficult to believe that these two were deathly ill when they arrived with Purr Partners. So sad that their mom and the rest of the litter died. Look at them now, ultra cute and healthy. 💞
