As we start transitioning to fall/winter crops, the time comes to pull out our sweet pepper plants to make room for more plantings of greens. It's always bitter sweet this time of year as you work to get the most out of your summer plantings while rapidly making room for spinach, salad, and greens that will sustain us (and our customers) through the winter.

I personally prefer farming in the colder months and really enjoy the challenge of keeping plants alive and thriving when there is a foot of snow on the ground. It's also just a lot more fun to spend time in a warm greenhouse in January than a warm one in July.
