I have been around bird breeding from the time I was a little girl with my dad. In January 2010 I went in to breeding full time. Nutrition is very important to me for my birds. I try to introduce them to as much food as possible, so you will have healthy eaters. Later you will not have to convert them to good foods. I wean my hand feed babies on Volkmans high quality seed, gree

ns, mixed vegetables, broccoli, Missy’s Bird Mush (recipe on info page), Roudy Bush, Zupreem pellets, Volkmans egg food, spray millet and a variety of fruits. I highly recommend you continue to feed them a wide verity of natural foods (Food Pyramid for Parrots). A pellet only diet has been proven to have a negative effect on some birds. I love my birds very much and will try to help you with the transition to their new home. You need to remember it is a stressful time for your new bird going to a new environment. (Some birds will even become stressed when moving their cage to the other side of a room.) I will do everything I can to help you with questions and with picking the right bird for you and your family. I do ask you to be patient, please remember I am feeding my breeding birds, cleaning many cages, plus hand feeding many babies. If you could, research what you are looking for in a bird, or a certain color or mutation. Research any questions you may have, it would be helpful with my time constraints. Here is an excellent place to start avianweb.com. I am happy to offer my experience and advice. When doing research remember anyone can post information look for more than one person on one site to say the same thing. (This is how I learn more about bird genetics / color mutations)

Yellow Sided Turquoise Male....only have one Male YST now ....he's a nice bird ..that cage the babies like to play ball before bed ..i open the bottom door they all come to get it 😂 and tonight he got on his back waiting for me to " get " him... 😂...

They are ball getters as well ..super cute...will get pics tomorrow...that baby baby PT she was the smallest one but she likes to Mac out ... 😂 So she's pretty chunky monkey now......

Sprouting*
I have a pan that fits my collender perfectly...so when sprouts are ready...I fill up the pan..set the collender with the sprouted seeds in it ...fill it up with water add about 1/4 cup... for this size .... ACV... Organic Apple cider vinegar unpasteurized ...with the Mother....like Bragg's.....into the water...let soak about 5 to 10 mins......then pour out rinse the sprouts in the collender.....fill up with fresh water.....soak about 5 minutes...then rinse in collender again.....then drain well serve...
That's how I "clean" my sprouts..

Mung beans
Lentils...
Notice I only use stainless steel lids .. plastics can crack and harbour bacteria.....
You can bleach your jars and lids to keep those clean as well.... don't use plastic....

Younger Green Cheeks in their cage..I took the pic with the phone's flash last night... they were all diggin ' their egg food.... 😂..they have 2 houses in the cage..you can see them in the background..mi make houses for them where they feel safe and it's more natural kinda like a nest Box 😂...they are too funny..I was watching how they all interact...the YS big one likes to back surf....the little AD he likes to groom everyone.... 😂...so funny! Love this age .... 💕 🐥 🥚

The oldest Turquoise is a hoot! It is so funny does the wing over its head when Playing! It's so flippin cute ...they all are but right now this age of the oldest one shows me how funny of a bird it is ..I love when they like to play like this! Not all do...often they do but not all ....
