Last week, we went to a property to pick up geese, whose owner had unfortunately passed away. When we were about to leave, we were asked if we wanted to meet a tortoise who also needed to be placed. We said yes and were guided over to an empty swimming pool (like full-size concrete pool). At the bottom, was half a dog crate acting as a sort of hide. We climbed in, and under that hide was Ninja. Ninja is a 35-40 year old, 100lb sulcata tortoise. She was absolutely freezing, as she was on concrete and the nights get down to 35.° She didn't have a heater, or anything to nest in to keep her warm. She also has a large dent in her shell from nutrient deficiencies, mainly calcium. Although we don't normally take in reptiles, we knew we needed to help her.
She immediately stole the hearts of our board members, and we have all been slaving away over the last week to make her the dream enclosure she deserves. Stay tuned to see her finished set up!
In the meantime, Ninja needs a sponsor, and we will be adding items needed for her on our wishlists throughout the day. We would appreciate any and all help we can get for this unexpected intake!

Moose continued...
We knew that there was no better place for Moose to thrive than with ! So we made the 3 hour roundtrip trek to bring him to his new home. He immediately made himself at home, and we can't wait to continue to see him shine. He's such a special boy.🪿❤️

A few days ago we were reached out to about several animals on a property, whose owner had unfortunately passed away. So we immediately got to work on helping in any way we could. We removed 4 geese from the property, and among those was Moose. Moose was hand raised, and is the most sweet and social goose we have ever met. He knows his name, comes when called, and will put himself to bed when you say "go to bed." Our hearts immediately melted, and we knew exactly where he belonged... more to come 😘

San Jacinto boy will live! Huge thanks to Wilbur Pigman for arranging funding to get him neutered and transported! The amazing is on her way to pick him up and get him to the amazing who will foster him until Wed as we arrange plans for neuter and to get him to his forever home. ❤️🐖❤️🐖❤️🐖 we currently have plans to send me all the way to Idaho with a kind woman who offered him a space when no others could. If anyone can offer him a local home please let us know since it will save transporting funds which can be used to help more pigs.

Thank you to All Things Hooved Animal Rescue for buying him extra time from death and Saving Animals & Healing Hearts Inc for spreading the word about him and Kade Tyler for arranging a forever home! ❤️🐖❤️ !

This sweet little girl was picked up as a stray a few nights ago. She is currently on a stray hold with hopes that her people will find her. If nobody claims her, she will be available for adoption. ❤️
