♻️ Be a recycling hero, like Tubby the Recycling Dog!

Bring back your red pill vials from our clinic and get $1 account credit per vial.

Why participate?
✅ Keeps plastics out of landfills

Important: Only red vials dispensed by Companion Animal Clinic are eligible.

Bring them in, cash them out, and let’s care for pets and our planet! 🌍🐾

*In 2011, a Labrador named Tubby, owned by Sandra Gilmore from Wales, UK, set the record for Most Bottles Recycled by a Dog. On his daily walks, he collected, crushed, and handed over an estimated 26,000 plastic bottles to his owner. Tubby sadly passed away in 2016, having collected an estimated 50,000 bottles in his lifetime!
"He was always the keenest, greenest recycling canine around with the smallest carbon paw print ever." ♻🐕

🚫🐍 DON’T Use Benadryl for Snakebites!
(Yes, we’re making this as clear as possible 😉)

Snakebite season is here! As the weather warms up, pit vipers are leaving hibernation and becoming more active—just like our pets who are spending more time hiking, exploring, and playing outdoors. That means we’re entering peak snakebite season.

⚠️ Important Reminder:
Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is NOT effective for treating venomous snakebites. It’s an antihistamine, and snake venom causes tissue damage and swelling through venom proteins—not histamines.
The only true treatment? Antivenom.

🐍What to do if your pet is bitten by a snake:
1) Remain calm: Your pet will take cues from you! Staying calm helps reduce their stress and keeps their heart rate lower, which can slow the spread of venom.
2) Keep them as still as possible: Avoid walking them, especially if the bite is on a limb. Movement can increase venom circulation.
3) Seek veterinary care immediately—time is critical! If able, take a PHOTO of the snake. Please do NOT bring it to the veterinary clinic with you.

❌ Do not give Benadryl.
❌ Do not try to suck out the venom.
❌ Do not apply ice or a tourniquet.
❌ Do not wait it out at home.
