🐾 URGENT: Hound Mix Sisters Need a Home! 🐾

Meet Sadie (white) and Ellie (black), 11-month-old Hound mix sisters in Yukon, OK, seeking separate forever homes.

Both are:
55 pounds
Spayed & microchipped
Crate trained
Love toys
Good with male dogs

IMPORTANT: Due to possible littermate syndrome, they CANNOT be adopted together.

Sadie is sassy and smart, knows how to "sit," and enjoys couch cuddles. Ellie is sweet, loves tennis balls, and is great on walks.

Their new home should not have cats or kids. They need proper fencing and experienced dog owners.

Their current owner is losing housing and must rehome them ASAP.

Dear Underdogs Family,

We urgently need your help for Astrid, our 14-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Greyhound mix. You might remember her from when she joined TUR in September 2024 after being left at an OKC shelter by her family when they moved. At her age, dogs often end up on the euthanasia list, and unfortunately, Astrid was no exception. Thankfully, her foster family saw her in time, and we were able to pull her.

Currently, Astrid is facing a serious health issue: she has severe dental disease. This condition has caused her gums to recede, her teeth to become impacted, and significant tartar buildup, resulting in pain and difficulty eating.

The veterinary costs for her examination, cleaning, and the necessary tooth extractions are estimated to range from $600 to $1,000. This amount exceeds our current financial capacity as a rescue organization. Astrid deserves to enjoy her golden years free from pain, and with the appropriate care, we believe she can.

We kindly ask for your support through donations or by sharing her story.

Adopted❤️❤️🐾🐾

St. George has been adopted!

George was initially on the euthanasia list at OKC Shelter. As a young, scared pup, he lacked socialization and couldn't be adopted through the shelter's program.

Fortunately, The Underdogs rescued George, and Lindsay Schober provided foster care. Over several days, George gained confidence.

After vetting and neutering, George joined his new family in Louisiana. Although he slipped his harness and got lost during the trial week, George was found and received immediate veterinary care at LSU Vet Hospital after being hit by a car. Thankfully, George recovered fully, was medically cleared, and has been adopted!

We're delighted for George. Thank you to all donors who helped George find his happy ending. A special thanks to Lindsay Schober.

It's official: Garfunkel has been adopted!

Garfunkel was saved from the euthanasia list at the OKC Shelter in August 2024 with a fractured front leg. We were able to pull him and get him the necessary veterinary care ASAP thanks to Jacci Owens and her family fostering him.

He received months of vet visits for splint placements while his bone healed, requiring crate rest and supervision. Thanks to the excellent care, Garfunkel is completely healed and was adopted just days after receiving medical clearance.

We are thrilled for Garfunkel and his new family, which includes a cat brother, a dog sister, and his forever human family.

Daisy has been in rescue awhile and not one application for her lately...no idea why as she is a sweet girl

Daisy is a loving 2-year-old female Lab/Pyrenees mix, weighing around 80 lbs.

She is spayed, house trained, crate trained, and up to date on shots.

Daisy loves everyone and other dogs, but because of her energy level she would be better with a young dog.

Daisy can be exuberant and may unintentionally hurt smaller animals & young children. She would need some training on manners. Once she calms down she is content to lay by your side or just stay with her human.

Daisy would thrive in a home with a large yard, farm, or ranch where she can run freely. She would also be great for agility or as a running partner

Meet Adonis!! In Greek Mythology, his name is applied to a handsome youth, and this pup fits that description. He wasn't always this good-looking. He is a pup we rescued with a bad case of mange.
After lots of loving care from his foster, look at him now!

Adonis is an 8-month-old 49-lb Bully. He’s neutered, crate—and house-trained, and microchipped.

He’s good with everyone. He has been exposed to cats with no issues. He is not in a house with other dogs but isn’t reactive around them at events.

He would make a great family dog.

With great pleasure, we announce that Brodie has found his forever home.
Brodie was rescued from the euthanasia list at OKC Shelter.

Due to a medical condition, only a rescue organization was eligible to pull him. A foster home was secured, and his rehabilitation begun. 

Brodie required medical attention for his dislocated jaw, which Dr. Whilhite at Town and Country Vet successfully manipulated back into place.

Brodie's new family is thrilled with his companionship, citing him as an exceptional snuggle buddy and playmate.
Congratulations on your new beginnings, Brodie.

This morning, a large fire broke out at Fur Ever Friends Rescue in Choctaw. Diane risked her own life to save as many animals as possible and is being treatment for smoke inhalation. Our thoughts and prayers are with Diane and the animals as they recover.
