Must Luv Dogs Rescue A 501(c)3 foster based dog rescue in Zachary LA Must Luv Dogs Rescue's mission statement is: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves".

Based on Proverbs 31:8-9, we believe it is our responsibility to be the voice of these beautiful four-legged souls. Too often they are abused or neglected by a human who is responsible for taking care of them. Even though they are let down by their humans, they remain loyal. Many times they are dumped and discarded. They have no voice to ask for help. We are that voice.

URGENT: Our sweet CAL is looking for a foster home or adopter.🏡 This boy was adopted out and sadly brought to the shelter. 💔
He is a gorgeous 6 year old, 75 lb. black mouth cur/hound mix. He is a big goofball! He is so funny & will entertain you endlessly. Cal loves ear rubs and ALL the toys! He's great with people & kids. He is very loving and eager to please.
💙He is smart & motivated
💙He does well on leash
💙He is house trained
💙He is crate trained. He is very compliant and gets into his crate when directed.
Cal's looks are striking. His photos don't do him justice. Cal is ready to find a furever family where he can grow old in a loving home. He needs a family who enjoys outdoors and loves to walk, hike, or play fetch in the backyard.

HELP!! CAL NEEDS a FOSTER immediately! Cal was adopted as a puppy but his adopter relinquished him to the public shelter...thankfully, they contacted us due to his microchip. However, his new foster can no longer keep him so he's in danger of going back into the shelter system unless we can find a foster for him!! He's a 6 year old black-mouth cur mix! He weighs about 75-80 pounds! He is a big goofball. He is so funny & will entertain you endlessly. Cal loves ear rubs and ALL the toys! Cal would do great as an only dog, but has lived with others as well. CAL loves his hoomans and tends to get jealous of others if he's not getting the attention he deserves! He's great with people & kids. He is very loving and eager to please. He tends to be the alpha dog if there are other male dogs around. He tolerates other dogs, but truly would be the PERFECT only family dog! He is smart & motivated. He does well on leash . He is house & crate trained. This poor boy was rescued from eating garbage out of the Waffle House parking lot after being pulled out of the middle of the highway. Knowing he’d not have much chance of surviving at the public shelter, our amazing foster, Julie K. Chapman, is proving love and care for him until a more permanent foster comes thru. He has an appointment with our vet for an intake on Monday and we’ll know more about his health. He’s definitely in very poor shape and starving. RIP John Wayne

Rest in Peace John Wayne. Many of you may recall this sweet boy from early 2023. We rescued him from a bad situation after his owner passed away. This senior pup was ultimately adopted by Donna Montagnino & family. After some health issues, John Wayne crossed over the rainbow bridge today. We are grateful to Donna and family for giving him a soft place to land to spend his last year of life on earth. We know he’s reunited with his former owner now and while & happy. #mustluvdogsrescue🐶

Meet Foxy! Foxy is an approx. 18 month old, 24 pound, border collie mix. She was brave enough to bring her 2 small puppies out of a very dense wooded area in a remote area to get them the help they needed. Now that her 2 puppies are weaned & adopted, Foxy has spent the past several weeks learning how to be a puppy on her own! She started out very skittish and untrusting. She has quickly blossomed into one of the sweetest pups! She loves playing with toys, chasing balls & wrestling with her foster pups! She even snuggles with her foster family! Foxy is extremely smart & very agile. She'd be a wonderful candidate for agility training! Foxy is one of the most athletic pups we've ever seen! Foxy loves other pups & really needs at least one other dog in the home who adopts her! Foxy's adoption fee is $200. She is HW negative, up-to-date on all vaccines, spayed & microchipped. Our Story

This page is the result of many years of working in animal rescue, volunteering at various shelters and adoption programs, as well as establishing the local lost pets page. Through the FB page, the lost pets page has helped reconnect hundreds of lost pets with their families as well as rescue countless abandoned strays. After working with a local governmental agency to help develop a program for animal control, and being frustrated at the lack of desire and/or dedication of funds to bring that goal to fruition, I, with the support of a couple of friends who share a passion for animal rescue, have formed this 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping dogs within our reach. It is truly my belief that we are to be the voice of these precious creatures of God. Thus, our mission statement is “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Proverbs 31:8. God wants us to care for all of his creation with compassion. Dogs have a special place in our lives. They are the MOST loyal & trustworthy of friends. They will love us, no matter who we are or what we do. They are quick to forgive & eager to please. Yet, when they are lost, in need, or suffering from abuse or neglect, they have no voice to ask for help. They have no feet to walk for help. They have no power to knock on our door to report it. We have to be their eyes, ears and voice. That's what this group is all about! We hope you'll join us as a volunteer, foster, donor or just a FB follower! Thank you!
