A 501(c)3 foster based dog rescue in Zachary LA Must Luv Dogs Rescue's mission statement is: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves".

Based on Proverbs 31:8-9, we believe it is our responsibility to be the voice of these beautiful four-legged souls. Too often they are abused or neglected by a human who is responsible for taking care of them. Even though they are let down by their humans, they remain loyal. Many times they are dumped and discarded. They have no voice to ask for help. We are that voice.

**PUPDATE! Thanks to some great followers, BoBo has found a new home! Thanks to his neighbor & our previous adopter, Judy Baxter for looking out for this special boy!! Thanks to our fiiend Tootsie for stepping up!

This is sweet BoBo. Both of his parents have been diagnosed with illnesses and can no longer care for themselves & they had to move into a nursing home this week. BoBo is the sweetest pup. He’s 6 yrs old only 20 pounds, up to date on his shots, house trained, super sweet. Loves kids. BoBo needs a new family to love him. If you would like to meet BoBo please let us know! We’d like to help find him a new furever family. If you are interested in BoBo pls reach out to Judy at 225-270-0714.

OKAY--here's hoping somone will see that who knows this sweet boy's family! CAA reached out to us..we chipped him at a clinic back in 2020. His name is Rocket & his mom's name is Kim Burdette. He was found wandering around Glen Oaks High School! If you know this dog or his mom, PLEASE reach out to them & let them know he's at Companion Animal Alliance right now! WE know she loves him because she brought him to a clinic for a microchip! please share!

URGENT HELP!! Ya'll this little family of homeless dogs is in danger. AS you an see, the female is clearly pregnant. They live in East Feliciana Parish, which means there are ZERO animal resources there...no shelters, etc. They find themselves in this situation due to the neglect of the humans who bred them/adopted them/owned them? There is a good citizen who is trying to help feed them, but this little lady is gonna pop & then these puppies are gonna be who knows where? PLUS some of the neighbors are threatening them since they are strays. PLEASE help by contacting any rescues you know of to help! Since we have no facilities, we are without any open fosters (most of our fosters are doubled/tripled/ or more!). PLEASE call any rescues you know of and let us know if you can help. Time is of the essence!

FOSTER NEEDED! Ya'll this sweet boy is named BARLEY & HE is a little over a year old, 40 pounds, ,HW negative & seems do great with other dogs & ignore cats! HE"S STUCK in the EBR Shelter and needs to get out of there! The Shelter has askedus if we can pull him, but unless someone is willing to foster this sweet boy, we cannot, If you'd ;like to, please let us know! Mr Magoo (fka: Peairs) was delivered to his new foster home today after spending several days very ill at the vets office. He had a horrible response post neuter surgery & required blood transfusion & due to his poor nutrition and overall lack of care, he is now finishing up antibiotics and steroids. He tested negative for both babesia & auto immune so we are hoping he’s well on his way to health! He continues to gain weight but is still extremely skinny. He is high Heartworm positive & we will he doing a fundraiser soon to hopefully get him the fast kill treatment he needs as well as help with his medical expenses thus far. Thanks to Dr Liz at Plains Veterinary Hospital for his care thus far & a great big thanks to his new foster moms, Laurie Lynn Drummond & Margie Sevier for taking this little humper into their home. Gertie let him know who was boss right away! He’s got his very own quiet space to go and continue his healing process. EDIT! OKAY YA'LL HERE are the 2 dogs this post is about. The little black and tan dog appears to maybe be pregnant.an d the white dog is a male. THEY ARE right now homeless and aren't secured. They are friendly & need foster or rescue! PLEASE help us find them a place! Thanks.

OKAY ya'll sorry..this is sort of a rant & sort of a CRY FOR HELP!

RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING EMAIL today.. get sooo many of these...THIS IS TYPICAL of the type of messages we get from East Feliciana Parish residents: (info xx'd out for to protect the privacy of the person trying to help)

"HI my name is ######XX. I live in Jackson on ### Rd and there are 2 stray dogs ( one looks pregnant) that I don’t know what to do with. I’ve called the sheriffs office and they gave me a number to the EF Humane Society that is a recording saying they can’t take owner surrenders or strays, I called DCI and they said they don’t take strays during hurricane season, the East Feliciana Animal Services Facebook group told me to call the sheriffs office who told me that there is nothing they can do. Over the weekend they attacked my neighbor’s small dog so another neighbor called the sheriffs office who came out but didn’t see the dogs so they basically told her to shoot them is all that they could tell her to do with them. They aren’t vicious dogs-just homeless and hungry. I try to give them food when I’m home but am gone 3-4 days a week. Is there anything you can do or any suggestions? I can’t stand to see them starve to death and I’m afraid they are going to be shot if somebody doesn’t get them. Please help!"

East Feliciana Parish Police Jury & the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office needs to get some sort of PLAN for the parish for the poor animals in need there!! We can only do so much & apparently the new East Feliciana Humane Society doesn't take STRAYS OR SURRENDERS? (huh?). This doesn't sound correct but IDK..if anyone has any contact there please reach out. We can try to connect this person with them. Ya'll this is sooooo exhausting to deal with. This POOR ANIMALS have NO HOPE in that parish even with someone is TRYING to help them. There are NO resources there! I don't get that..but this is sort of a rant but mostly a CRY FOR HELP! Citizens of East Feliciana Parish need to stand up for the poor suffering 4 legged souls in their parish!

We are so honored to be recognized but we simply pass this honor along to our numerous FOSTERS, adopters, donors, volunteers and the The City of Zachary for its unfailing support. This rescue has always been about saving lives and giving voice to the voiceless but it truly takes a village.

Yall we have another sweet boy who needs a foster. He wandered up to someone’s home for help. He’s very skinny but so so sweet. He does fine w other do. Nobody has stepped up up claim him. Meet Foxy! Foxy is an approx. 18 month old, 24 pound, border collie mix. She was brave enough to bring her 2 small puppies out of a very dense wooded area in a remote area to get them the help they needed. Now that her 2 puppies are weaned & adopted, Foxy has spent the past several weeks learning how to be a puppy on her own! She started out very skittish and untrusting. She has quickly blossomed into one of the sweetest pups! She loves playing with toys, chasing balls & wrestling with her foster pups! She even snuggles with her foster family! Foxy is extremely smart & very agile. She'd be a wonderful candidate for agility training! Foxy is one of the most athletic pups we've ever seen! Foxy loves other pups & really needs at least one other dog in the home who adopts her! Foxy's adoption fee is $200. She is HW negative, up-to-date on all vaccines, spayed & microchipped. Our Story

This page is the result of many years of working in animal rescue, volunteering at various shelters and adoption programs, as well as establishing the local lost pets page. Through the FB page, the lost pets page has helped reconnect hundreds of lost pets with their families as well as rescue countless abandoned strays. After working with a local governmental agency to help develop a program for animal control, and being frustrated at the lack of desire and/or dedication of funds to bring that goal to fruition, I, with the support of a couple of friends who share a passion for animal rescue, have formed this 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping dogs within our reach. It is truly my belief that we are to be the voice of these precious creatures of God. Thus, our mission statement is “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Proverbs 31:8. God wants us to care for all of his creation with compassion. Dogs have a special place in our lives. They are the MOST loyal & trustworthy of friends. They will love us, no matter who we are or what we do. They are quick to forgive & eager to please. Yet, when they are lost, in need, or suffering from abuse or neglect, they have no voice to ask for help. They have no feet to walk for help. They have no power to knock on our door to report it. We have to be their eyes, ears and voice. That's what this group is all about! We hope you'll join us as a volunteer, foster, donor or just a FB follower! Thank you!
