Mitzi has been adopted!! Her new family was looking for a furry family member. They recently lost a dog and their other dog was depressed without a playmate. Mitzi didn’t get an adoption photo because she was too excited to find her forever home! Happy tails, Mitzi!!

We recieved another happy update on Buck!:

Another update on buck! He got his first haircut since they adopted him and did well with it! He also can now cross the ocean off his bucket list!

We are saddened to inform you that Remi had another re**al prolapse. This was her third prolapse since she had been with us. After another emergency vet visit, the veterinary team were unable to guarantee this would ever be able to be permanently fixed. Their recommendation was to humanely euthanize Remi. One of our kennel masters was present with her as she crossed the rainbow bridge. It is never easy to make these decisions and we take each life seriously. We are in the business to help dogs but sometimes these decisions need to be made. We also want to be transparent with our followers. Rest in peace, Remi 🌈

We have an adoption and a rescue to announce!!
Mariah, now known as Pepper has been adopted her new family recently lost their other dog at a young age due to some health issues. They took Pepper home as a foster to adopt and fell in love with her sweet self!! They couldn’t resist!!
Chomp had been with us for 14 months! Yesterday he left us for FIDO’s Companion Rescue!! This rescue continues to pull some of our extended stay dogs to give them a new audience to help them find their forever homes. We are beyond thankful for their help and all the coordination that goes into getting these dogs to rescue.
Happy tails to both of these dogs ❤️🐾

Remember the dog that was dumped in our fence area with his kitty friend? (The kitty is at the Animal Shelter Society) We have named him Deuce and he’s ready for adoption! He’s a medium sized dog with half a tail (like a pointer). He’s on the shy side but warms up super quick for some chicken nuggies! I am Holmes and I have been here since September, 2023! Because of that fact I have multiple pictures of my adorable face on the Adoption Center page. I think you can clearly see my happy smile shining through! I would make an excellent best friend and partner to go through this thing we call life! When you come home at night or wake up in the morning wouldn’t you love to see this face of mine waiting on you? Lady has been adopted!! Her new family has 2 other adult dogs and were looking for a young dog to grow up with their kids. They met a few dogs and went home to think about the dogs and which would be the best fit. Then came back because they couldn't resist her sweet little self! Her human siblings fell in love instantly!! Happy tails little Lady!!!!

Nellie has been adopted!! She went to a foster to adopt home almost immediately after coming to us, this why we don’t have a better picture. She was late coming back from her spay appointment so we didn’t get an adoption picture. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to celebrate her finding her forever family! Happy tails, sweet girl!!

Meet Deogie, a lovable 3-year-old shelter dog with a heart full of love and a story that tugs at the heartstrings. This sweet boy had a devoted owner who, sadly, passed away, leaving Deogie in need of a new loving home. While he adores human companionship and is a bundle of playful energy, he is not a fan of feline friends and would do best in a cat-free environment. We are so thankful for our rescue connections!! Miles was rescued by Fuzzy Pawz Rescue and Ginger and Norman were rescued by Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati!! All three of these pooches had medical issues that needed addressed before they would be ready for their forever homes. Ginger had an immediate vet visit where it was determined she had a multitude of medical issues from years of neglect. She was helped to cross the Rainbow Bridge peacefully knowing people cared about her. We are very grateful for rescues who are willing to step up and help with these medical cases.

Remi had an emergency vet visit this past Sunday for a second pr*****ed re**um. She experienced her first pr*****ed re**um at the beginning of May and required surgical intervention. This time she required surgery as well as some diagnostic studies to see why this reoccurred. This is why we have The Griff Fund!! The Griff Fund is a fund that is for our dogs that require vet care beyond the typical spay/neuter and vaccines. This fund is made possible by some grants as well as donations from the public. Falcor is showing off his puppy self! That’s right, he is a puppy with puppy energy. He has been with us since March 8th which means he has over 2 months of pent up energy he needs to expend. He recently went to a foster to adopt home and was gone a couple of hours before they brought him back. The reasoning: he was too hyper. He’s a puppy and he needs time to decompress! He will have energy and he most likely will be an active dog. We are looking for a family who is also active as well as understanding of his needs.
