Putting out an ask for volunteers for the raleigh dressage show the weekend of July 27 & 28. I know it's hot, but we need to give back to the sport if we want to continue to have shows in our area.

Also need a farrier if you know anyone.

We've had several people ask if we will be holding any shows this spring. At this point we will not. Luci and I have multiple things on our schedule that preclude holding shows this year.

We have an opening for barn help. Feeding, turn out, bring in, stalls, general barn chores. Part time, currently looking for 3 days per week. Possible living quarters down the road for the right person. Must have horse experience and references. PM us if interested.

2 stalls power washed today. Getting stall ready for new boarder coming in at month end. Still working our way through the last 3 batches of blankets.

When it rains it pours......

Cold weather is getting closer and people are suddenly realizing their horse blankets are still dirty. Barn is full of blankets. Well and water pressure issues have slowed us down and now the glass in the washing machine door is broken. Looks minor, but the shape of the glass normally keeps the blanket buckles from getting caught. With the chip out, that function doesn't work. And, of course, it leaks... We called the repair man, but it's Saturday, so we won't hear anything back before Monday at the earliest. No idea how long it takes to get a new glass, or if we have to replace the whole door....

We will have a stall available for a well behaved horse and no drama owner. We would prefer someone who would like to work to reduce board, but full care is available for the right person and horse. References required, preferably from someone we know. This is a private farm with excellent care for your horse.

No pasture board.

Rebecca Nelles had a serious fall off a young horse, resulting in severe injuries. She underwent emergency surgery and spent 1 week in the hospital. We are canceling tomorrow's show. The ring is just too wet and the forecast now calls for more rain layer today.

Mother nature is not being nice this morning. Rain has been heavier than forecasted. Right now, we have puddles in the ring. Hope it moves out soon and the wind picks up! We'll make a decision this afternoon if we have to cancel the show.
