ABARC Is a small rescue with a big heart!
COVID has stopped the flow of volunteers, foster homes, and fundraising. Until we can find a way to function in this new "normal" we will be unable to help any additional pets in need. Our hospice forever fosters are elderly medical cases that cannot be adopted out due to health or behavior issues. They require ongoing care and support. Please consider a donation or even just share our fundraiser.

Sadie's Back!
Here's the deal...
Sadie HATES riding in cars with boys...and girls... and anyone. She gets motion sickness and nauseous and when a 100-pound Great Pyrenees pukes in your car, you notice.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Other than that, Sadie is a princess, hence the nickname "Lady Sadie". She loves to be pampered (especially after a roll in the mud, her second favorite thing to do besides play with other dogs).
A couple of things to know about Lady Sadie :
🐶 She would do best in a house with a big fenced-in yard or farm.
🐶 She will dig holes. Please give her a place to do so.
🐶 She will most definitely find the mud. We learned this the hard way; however, once we had a system in place, we've only had one emergency bath situation. (I'll be happy to help you establish your own system.)
🐶 She likes to eat alone, so feed her in her place. She's like Gollum from the Hobbit and her food is her precious...
🐶 She does not do well in cars. We've tried several tactics and even CBD for dog nausea. A vet may be able to prescribe something, but our hope is to find her a family who doesn't need to drive Sadie to the "Dog Pub" or the "Dog Cafe'". She will not like it. She will not be happy. She will vomit a large mound of stinky hot puke on your nice leather seats then droll profusely until she either pukes more or you arrive at your destination. The best bet, keep her home.
🐶 She likes to watch over you and your family at home.
🐶 She appreciates a daily walk and some alone time with you.
🐶 She likes a comfy place inside to relax and eat.
🐶 She loves her independence, so let her roam. Don't worry, though, she will always cuddle up with you when you need it and would make an incredible personal emotional support animal, with the right training.
Sadie's "perfect family" would offer her plenty of room to run and play and have a playmate or two that can keep up with her. She will play for hours.
She really is a wonderful dog you guys, she just d
Phyliss went to her new foster home yesterday! She has a Veterinary appointment next week and will be available afterwards. She is a sweet soul and will be a great addition to anyone's family!
Keep following their story! Pippa has been vetted and adopted already! We are still fundraising as just Pippa alone required $1200 of veterinary care. Phyliss, Brinkley, Phoebe and Paisley are still needing to be done.

Phoebe waiting to be picked up by her new foster! She is so excited to do whatever you want to do. She will be a great addition to anyone's family. Phoebe is one out of the recent 5 we have obtained from a BYB puppy mill. With one male and four females all estimating to be around 7 years old. Each will be listed for adoption after their veterinary work is completed. Please take the time to donate to their cause.
Here is a time lapse video of me and Nichole finishing up Phoebe’s feet yesterday. This video was another hour or so of working on her mats. All told, I we spent a total of 3 hours on Phoebe yesterday and that was only her feets. This spunky, happy and cuddly girl has a whole new life ahead of her!~Brittany
LIVE RESCUE TODAY! Stay tuned!!
Unfortunately, all of our monthly adoption events are now on hold due to COVID-19. This is protocol for moving forward. When everything gets back to normal we will make a new post announcing when they are back on. We hope everyone in our wonderful community stays safe and during this time of home quarantine, consider fostering. Our most recent litter will soon be available to foster. Also, if you're able to spare anything we are in desperate need for donations between supply shortages and continuous care our bills haven't changed.
Thank you for following along and supporting our little rescue.

Aila is doing great!
Still waiting for her forever home. She is now wrapping her head around basic manners. She loves going on walks with everyone and is doing much better with greeting strangers. She loves dogs and enjoys hanging out with the people she trusts. She is very food motivated and will work for treats!
Do you think she would be a good fit for your family?

Hello all!
Here is a tiny bit more information on our new arrivals, and of course more cute puppy pictures!
Mom was trapped by local animal control, they had to go back out a find all of her puppies. She is severely emaciated and estimated to be around 2 years old. Right now she is 38 lbs and she needs to be closer to 50 lbs for her ideal weight. Her puppies, 5 boys and 2 girls, are small around 3 lbs each and 3 and 1/2 weeks old. More adorable puppy pictures to come!
If you are wanting to donate for their care, puppy pads will be sorely needed. As well as fundraising for their future veterinary visits to prior to them being available for adoption. Every little thing helps!
Thank you so much for following along and supporting our cause!

Check in with Aila!
Aila is a firm believer in "if you don't look it's not happening." But look at this great gal! She just had to show off today. She is still looking for her forever family. Aila is a 3 year old, spayed, shepherd mix that is about 42 lbs. She is happy to do things with the people she trusts, especially if there is the possibility of food at the end. Aila is going to make someone very happy. She is currently living at PetSound Daycare and Boarding and is enjoying being spoiled and non stop friends. She would prefer a family that has a fun companion dog to goof off with. She loves to work her noggin with all the puzzles she gets. Every day she does better and better with her leash manners.
If you would like to spare a $1 or $2 to help with her care it would be greatly appreciated!
