Rex is the type of horse every cowboy dreams of owning. He is very broke and fun to ride. Rex is branded on the hip & shoulder & has been ridden many miles working on a ranch in Oklahoma. He is 13 years old & stands 15.2 hands. Horses as broke & quiet as he is are hard to find. He has been used extensively for all phases of ranch work, including checking fences, roping, gathering, doctoring, sorting, you name it. Rex comes with all the bells & whistles; an excellent one hand neck rein, smooth gaits, good turn around, nice rollbacks, works off your leg, good on both leads, nice stop and never gaps his mouth or swishes his tail. He is a pleasure to ride out, crosses water with no problem, goes up and down steep hills, through rough country, over the bridges and isn’t spooky. He rides quietly on a loose rein, content to walk all day long if that is what you prefer, but is responsive and will easily step into a jog or lope when asked. Rex can be ridden by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has been ridden down the road and in traffic, he is also used to ATV's, tractors, dogs, etc., and isn’t bothered by any of it. Rex has absolutely no buck, rear, bite, kick or any foolishness. He ties quietly, stands for saddling, clips, loads/hauls without issue, good for vet, etc. No matter if you want a nice leisurely pleasure riding partner, a true ranch horse or a performance horse, he’s always willing to do whatever you ask him to. Rex is gentle enough for most anyone and stays gentle. Asking $3500 negotiable to an amazing home. He is UTD & sound.
