This is great news! We love the dog beach!

🐾 Exciting news for all dog lovers! 🌊 Starting May 1, the south beach area of Kirk Park will be welcoming back our furry friends to roam off-leash at the dog beach during park hours! 🐶🏖️

Due to high water levels and erosion in 2020, access to the dog beach at Kirk Park was limited after the steps and parts of the dune ridge trail were damaged. Thankfully, the south stairs were reconstructed in late 2023, and access has been restored at the southern entry point.

Please note dogs will no longer be allowed on the north end of the beach May 1 - September 30, and dogs must remain leashed on-trail. Let the beach adventures begin! 🐕

This cute little Valentine came in for a Puppy Intro groom today! Brownie is an 18-week-old mini golden doodle, and today was his first time being groomed. I like to start introducing puppies to the grooming process as early as possible to establish grooming as a normal part of life. Puppy Intros include a bath, blow dry, brushing, nail/foot trim, sanitary trim, and face trim. Each step is introduced slowly and gently, and we take play & potty breaks as needed. The main goal is to provide the puppy with a positive experience to set them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming. Brownie did fantastic today and will be back next month for his first haircut!💗
