A couple weeks ago we posted sweet Riddler who has been looking for a home since he was a baby. He is now around 7 months old. We don’t know why he has been passed over but despite all the shares he is still with us. Please help us spread the word and find this sweet and happy pup a loving home to call his own for Christmas!

Help us meet our goal on the biggest day of Fundraising in Minnesota so we can continue to help dogs like Benson who deserve more!

The moment we saw Benson, our hearts sank. His spine and pelvis protruded through a thin layer of skin.
He somehow managed to stay alive in negative degree weather, freezing, starving, frail and fighting to keep his head up. Everyone was shocked to see a dog in this state still alive. Not only was there nothing left of him, but his fur had fallen out, suggesting long-term chronic neglect. Our hearts broke.

It’s impossible to tell just how much longer Benson would have lasted in this state, but it’s safe to say that his days were numbered.

Without our intervention, his body would have started to shut down, one organ at a time. It would have been an agonising death for poor Benson.

Immediately, we started the healing process required to give him a chance of happiness. We drove to his transport team to pick him up. Benson was so shut down we were unable to get him out of his crate, the warmest and safest place he had been in who knows how long. The rescue team was able to load him with the kennel into the SUV and we were off on his new journey in life.

When we got to Bensons new Foster home, he was covered in dirt, mud, f***s, and skin abrasions. We soaked him in the tub for some relief. Looking into his big eyes, you could see his gratitude as we washed away all the grime. We dried him off, layed down in a comfy spot and ate some dinner (we were so glad he ate without hesitation).

This has been a long journey and because of our supporters we had the ability to root Benson on every step of the way.

I just want to apologize to anyone who had difficulty watching Benson's slideshow. I am working on recreating it to make it easier to access, however I have not found a program to do what I need. I hope to have it up soon! Thanks for understanding!

My name is Benson. I was found freezing and starving alone, fighting for my survival in South Dakota. Without help, I didnt have long to live. Luckily a whole bunch of really awesome people worked together and saved me just in time. I spent a whole day riding in a crate on my way to MN. When I got to MN, my foster mom and her friend from the rescue, stood outside in below 0° weather waiting for me. I was so cold and scared that I had to be moved while still in my crate as I was too weak to even walk. 1 last car ride and I was home. Little did I know at the time, this would be my forever home. My new foster mom and dad carried me, in my crate into the house(which was not easy). I got a much needed nice warm bath, some food in my empty belly and a warm cozy place to sleep. I was a very happy boy. Then I slept...For the first time in a very long time, I wasnt cold, hungry or alone.

Fast forward to 6 months later... I am one grateful and happy boy!! My foster family officially adopted me!! I am very healthy, fed well and have a wonderful, warm house and family that loves me very much!! This is not the last you will see of me.. My Mom says she will still post lots of updates and pictures of me!!

What an amazing difference it makes when you provide love, food, and care to animals in need. Bensons family has put in 5.5 months of hard work and is dedicated to make sure Benson never feels lonely, hurt, scared, physically abused or unwanted for the rest of his life. This what rescue is and why we foster. We thank Fur-Ever Home Rescue for never giving up on the ones overlooked or the ones that are just "too much work." Mr Benson has his scrotal ablation (nuetering)done last weekend. Unfortunately he licked his incision and had to be brought back in fixed back up. He is doing much better but is not impressed with his cone 🤣🤣 He is now a whipping 135lbs!! Almost 30 lbs from when we first got him 4 months ago.

Good morning from this handsome fella!! Not much has been going on, so not much to update. But we did see the vet. They say he is doing great! His skin is much improved and he is a whopping 133 pounds! He has definitely gotten more comfortable and turning into a stubborn old mastiff!! But he deserves it!!

Vet check up yesterday.. Doc says he's doing great! Skin is much improved and he gained 4lbs this week! He is up to 128lbs!! That's about 20lbs since we got him!!
He even barked for the very first time and is starting to play around with his foster brother!
We are so excited to see this progress!!
