🌱🚜 Farm Education For All Progress Report🚜🌱

📍 Location: Boys and Girls Club F'sted, VI

🌿 Update:120 plants have been successfully planted with irrigation systems being put in place. Installation work has commenced to ensure our plants receive the water they need to thrive.

🤝 Collaboration: V.I. Epsor Conservation Society is working hand in hand with Farm Education For All to make this project a success.

🌟Director: Let's give a round of applause to our dedicated Director, Kai Neilson, for leading this collaboration towards a sustainable future!

We had a fantastic time encouraging kids to step away from screens and embrace the great outdoors, bonding with each other through games and interacting with our friendly farm animal petting zoo. 🐷🐮 It's important to us to create memorable experiences that foster a love for nature and animals in the younger generation. 🌳🐾

🌟✨🌾 Celebrating Virgin Islands Puerto Rico Friendship Day! 🌾✨🌟

Today, on this special day of celebration, Farm Education for All would like to honor the key field workers who came to St. Croix from Puerto Rico in search of better opportunities in agriculture. These individuals worked tirelessly in the fields, facing challenges and even servitude, yet their resilience and determination shine through as they chose to return and continue their journey in the agriculture field.

Their stories are a testament to the strength and spirit of all field workers who contribute immensely to the agricultural heritage of our islands. Let us recognize and appreciate their hard work, dedication, and passion for farming.

Join us in saluting these unsung heroes who help cultivate our lands and nurture our communities. Happy Virgin Islands Puerto Rico Friendship Day! 🌿🚜🌺

Bumper crop this year 😍 The sea grape is a wonderful coastal plant that protects our shoreline from erosion, provides sea turtle habitat (hawksbills nest often under these trees), gives us lovely shade during a hot day at the beach (plus snacks), and blocks lights from the beach at night, which can cause hatchling or adult sea turtle disorientation when they are trying to find the sea. Let's do all we can to protect these beautiful plants ❤️

🌿🐰 Farm Education for All is not just about farming; it's also about sensory development for our younger children! 🌟 The students at Claude O Markoe Elementary School Granny Pre K had a fantastic time learning about animals, with a focus on B for bunny. 🐇 They enjoyed interacting with the bunny, practicing patience and kindness, and immersing themselves in nature. This hands-on experience teaches them the importance of being gentle with animals and how animals contribute to farming. Did you know that bunny p**p can be used as fertilizer? 🌿💩

🌱🚜 Exciting news! Farm Education for All has kicked off their project at Eulalie Rivera School! 🌟 We are thrilled to bring back the garden to its former glory using a combination of old farming techniques and new-age technologies. In the pictures below, you can see us starting with Step 1: land clearing and preparing the land for farming.
